Yes just loosen the motor slide. Use heat to break down threadllock! Replace pinion and reset mesh.

I just put some 80 weight in the front and tekno springs on my talion EXB much better now. TEKNO R/C TKR6093 in the front and TKR6083 in the rears

Now that I’m swapping my 5687(HEAVY) to a TP 4070CM I was gonna throw the katars on are the belted version that much heavier? Definitely into speed bashing just afraid I’ll crack the rims and don’t want to add too much weight. My belted pro lines sure are too heavy.

That is a Hot Racing Aluminum diffcase housing. No more stripped screw holes and also makes the diff last longer. I'd use at least two outer bearing shims with these.😎👊

And find out that there is so good how no air control with this car. I have the small pinion gear and use 4s Lipo. Perhaps you can count up your Modifikation because it looks like you have more air control. I am a little bit sad about my choice perhaps it would be better to buy the exb Outcast. But now it is too late.

Hi Andre! For more air control, I'd recommend 6s and a larger pinion gear. Also try thicker front and center diff fluids. You need more wheel spin speed for air corrections so 6s will make a huge difference! I was running 6s and 20 tooth pinion. Stock on car is a 16 tooth. Good luck bro!!😎👊👊🍻

I don't have the EXB Outcast 6s but both are great! The Talion is a whole different animal with it's low profile Truggy platform! Handles and fly's so nice! The Outcast will be a better stunt machine for sure!😎👊

Awesome sends Eric. Wow that 185 blx holds up really good with that gearing. Did you have any thermal shutdowns? Mine kraton EXB running stock blx electronics and with a 15T pinon she sometimes shuts down on me. Probably should give her break every 5 minutes or so. Off road terrain mostly dirt and grass

I did have a thermal while dirt bashing at the end. All the spinning in dry dirt definitely heats everything up. Other than that a 20 tooth with belted tires is acceptable imo!

Basically the same if lipo specs are the same. I prefer one pack as it cuts down on wires and overall weight as two lipos usually take up more room and is a tighter fit in the tray. Either will work though just up to you!😎👊👊

Since the belted ones come stock, it sounds like Arma went way to thick for the shock oil and too low gearing. So for general bashing and jumping, would you recommend eventually upgrading to the 20T pinion and 80wt shock oil? Sounds like they didn't stock this car out properly. Thanks.

I replaced the tires with a new belted set yes. The first set of belted tires had a rip in the rubber. Actually was like that out of the box but I didn't want to complain as I got the car for free.😜The stiffer tires and suspension stock is not very good handling in rougher terrain so I lighted the oil to 80wt or roughly 1200cst from stock 2000cst and also longer front springs. Much better shock action. Yes stock out of box gearing is slow imo so I went 20 tooth. Just have to watch temps if it's super hot outside.

Not extremely hot with the belted tires. No ballooning to increase gear ratio even more. If running in dry dirt where there if lots of tire spin or in thick grass, I do recommend a cool down especially between packs! 20tooth is Max though imo for bashing!

The Kraton already has 80wt stock. The Talion comes with much stiffer suspension.

Yes still stock spur with a 19 tooth pinion I think it was. I run 18-23 tooth pinions depending on what tires I run belted Katars and non belted. Dropping to a 46 spur will definitely wake it up!👌

To my knowledge only Arrma makes the spur gears. You can get many different brands of pinion but RR does make a great product! Are you running the belted Katars? Those will need at least a 19 tooth to get moving. Maybe even a 20 without getting temps out of hand. I run a 23 tooth in my Talion XL with belted Katars but also have a Hobbystar 2000kv motor. If running regular Katars, I'd recommend no more than a 18 or 19 tooth and belted 19-20 tooth if running stock electronics.

Lol it was also the only pinion gear they had that was applicable 🤷🏼‍♂️ I want to keep temps down so I have a 20x20 tornado something or another fan in place but unplugged. My god man. I don’t understand how your electronics hold up. I’ve had an esc go out on my mugen buggy at the track, likely just from constant jumps. This was before I learned the importance of cushioning your esc’s. Do you run any foam or zeal tape under yours? Edit: just realized you said your stock spektrum esc went out😂

Kraton is better off road since it has a better suited suspension setup. Talion is super fast and agile especially in flat terrain or track. Just depends on what you plan on doing. The Kraton is probably the best all around basher!
