Best audio review channel on you-tube. Thank you so much for all your hard work John. This channel has truly turned me into an RCF/DB technology junkie.. :))

I saw this technology at first time, RCF company is amazing, I am surprising

Both are great monitors, but I think you would be more pleased with the coverage of the NX15, being coaxial and better for feedback reduction on stage. The NX15 is a bit smaller in size as well.

About 30 years ago bought an RCF 8 inch coaxial speaker. I had confused them with RTR who supplied some of the 25 inch drivers for the SENSURROUND speaker boxes of the 1974 disaster film Earthquake, as experienced at the Empire cinema, Leicester Square, London. I found the RCF to have amazing efficiency (97db) and a decent power rating of 75w rms. While I wouldn’t compare it with an equivalent Tannoy coaxial I thought I had clean bass, an excellent forward mid range well suited to human voice projection and a smooth hf rolloff. Although not sporting an exotic Alnico magnet, the ferrite installed was as big as the cone, so you could safely describe it as a budget professional driver, at just £17.50, in 1989 money. $60 today in 2018. All RCF products seem to be well made, robust, and represent honest Italian craftsmanship.

Hello John. Have you ever tried to hook up a pair of these with a small subwoofer? I wonder how it would sound as a main top for a 2.1 mobile DJ system.
@trinityprosound7 жыл бұрын
Yes we have and they sound great ! Just a bit strange looking on a stand with the monitor wedge shape, but they do very well and are loud and clear, subwoofer really enhances the low end , always use the crossover output of the sub and you can drive the system fairly hard.

Hard to tell from this video, but aside from the grille, the construction looks like it may not withstand continual gig wear and tear from usage as a stage monitor. Am I wrong? Is this monitor's housing more rugged than it looks in this video? Also, you stated that the horn is 60-degree dispursement, but what about the mid-range driver? Thanks!
@trinityprosound7 жыл бұрын
Yes it is solid , we have almost 20 of them doing events in our production inventory. They are very solid speakers and construction. The speaker is 60 degrees conical around the entire speaker for the LF and HF section. There is no mid range in this box, 2 way only. The inherent properties of the coaxial design is fantastic for feed back rejection as well.

Hello, I would like to ask, RCF NXorART, JBL PRX, BOSE F1, QSC K.2 which of these products is better for outdoor use, I prefer to pay attention to voice.

For smooth vocals the ART 735, 745 or HD32, or NXL24 ..... the others will not even come close to what RCF can do...

For monitors the NX12 and NX15 are amazingly smooth...not anything in their price point comes close to the sound quality and smoothness for vocals

Hi.thanx for the video. We are a midsize rental company. We do small and large indoor events and small/mid outdoor events. Would you recommend getting 4 sma12s or sma15s?
@trinityprosound7 жыл бұрын
For the few added dollars I would get the 15" model, the 12's are great, but if you need to have a versatile monitor that can do vocal, keys, bass and drums, the 15" is the way to go. They do what the 12" model can not. The 12 is great for guitar, vocals, horns, etc. but for a solid low end montior wedge the 15 is our favorite.

Hello! Since I already want to thank you for the videos and ask forgiveness for mistakes, since I'm using google translate. I am Brazilian and I wonder what the real power of the speakers. Here it takes a lot SPL. Do you think 2 monitors NX12 front, would serve well for a vocalist? Thank you!
@trinityprosound9 жыл бұрын
+Netto Machado Thanks for watching the videos. The NX12SMA monitors are amazing, for vocals you would be pleasantly surprised with the clarity and coverage of them . They do get very loud and clear and being the coaxial design help with gain before feedback. We have 14 in our production inventory and use them for all events. Use the 15 for bass or kick drum and the 12's for all else. Your vocalist will thank you over and over for using these monitors, very natural and smooth response.

Hi John. I know you do sound yourself, and you sell. Do you also rent? If so, there might be an occasion for me to rent monitors sometime in the future and I'd love to hear what these sound like. Then if I like them, I would potentially buy my own through you. I bought some used mic stands from you a while back. In fact, I just donated one of those to a Soroptimist International chapter, along with a couple other minor pieces of gear.

Nice to see the "geezards" but you keep referring to the exponential horn as a "conical" horn - which it clearly is not.....if it was CNN reporting - I'ed let it pass - but for a "pro" channel I'ed appreciate a bit more accuracy... How's the chuffing on them ports ?
@trinityprosound7 жыл бұрын
The CD round horn is commonly referred to as conical as Eminence speakers, and other commonly refer to the cone shape of the HF driver as conical, thus the reference in the video. It is accurate as presented.
@BogdanWeiss7 жыл бұрын
I've always referred to any horn by it's acoustic expansion profile - I know there's a lot of "word mincing" & because you use "pro" in your channel name I'm suggesting a bit more linguistic precision... Don't mean to be a "harsh" critic...I know it can be a bit of a "how long is a piece of string " just had slightly more "pro" expectations I guess - How are these guys "chuffing" under volume ? Doesn't look like the ports have much room to breathe... ;-)

Our channel is not for pro's , you would not be here if you were, you would already know it all. We cater to those that have questions, need answers, recommendations, etc. Our product reviews allow our subscribers to "get it" without a lot of mumbo jumbo and ProSoundneese ... basic , straight shooters, you get what you see and this is why we have the following we do and have sold thousands of speakers on line and off without one unhappy customer. Sorry we have not met your expectations....we give it as we see it, the term used is valid ,QSC uses the same term in describing the horn in their HPR122's-and they are the pro's.
