2019 RC Airplane Awards: Best beginner plane: Hobby Zone Aeroscout S 1.1 Best second plane: E-Flite Valiant 1.3 Best third plane (skill wise): E-Flite P51 D Mustang (or any of the other 1.2 electric warbirds or anything of similar speed/handling.) So far i have done the Aeroscout and am ordering a Valiant and DX8 for Xmas for myself! The goal is to try to P51 next after Valiant. Thoughts? What are your picks folks?

This is the best trainer I've ever flown. Tricycle landing gear so you don't have to worry about "nosing over" like you can with the "cub" types, robust landing gear that would tear up Cessna types, and not as expensive as say an Apprentice or Sensei(which I initially learned on). And if you don't want to go with Hobby Zone and the AS3X/SAFE bells and whistles, there's all ways the Esky Eagle, which is almost the exact same airplane, you just have to come up with your own battery, receiver and transmitter.

I ended up getting the aeroscout 1.1 And the 1280 mm easy trained. I got the rtf version but my plan is to put a ar410 receiver so I can use my radio.

Just purchased My own, Today. Excellent flight Gentlemen. Will be plane #411 in my Squadron. Been in R/C for over 50 years. Quite the collection. Also FAA Private Pilot. Instructor for My R/C flying Club here in SC. Had told the Horizon Hobby web site, plan to add wingtip floats and remove the gear., turning it into a Republic Seabee seaplane. Plan to remove the receiver with SAFE Mode out and install a standard Horizon 6 ch. Otherwise , enjoyed the Video and Keep-um-flying.

Excellent video, I know it’s four years old but credit where credit is due. One question I have is can the controller that came with the plane be bound to other bind and fly planes specifically the E-flite, horizon, Hobbyzone ones the Creshendo evolution and the turbo timber evolution? If it does I’ll buy the aeroscout set.

That bund button is also a panic button, push it and the plane will level out for a few second

I've had several 20 minute flights with very little to no throttle and gliding around and plenty of battery left.. 15 is reasonable if you don't push it all the time.. 10 to 12 would be a safe starting point. Great plane...

Not sure which one is a clone but I have the Esky Eagles 1100 and love it. First plane I've ever flown. Exploded it 3 times in the first week but hot glue is foam's best friend.

Just put the switch to mode 0 or mode 1. Mode 0 is better with the gyros though.
