I've been drooling over this plane for 10/11 years. Now I'm getting one, now that I can fly my other EDF's safely. Man, this is the ultimate EDF for me. I'm going to build it the EXACT same way as on the video, but with using LIHV batteries, and swapping for the FMS 70mm motors. I can't wait.

Good looking plane and great video! Was wondering why the mains completely bottom out... like... it looks kinda funny that nose up and shouldn't it have a little suspension left for taxiing?

I'm at the start of this build and planning rc channel layout... what do you recommend, ruddervator or elevator? In the latter case, it would save me a channel, I could y-cable that so I can get it done with an X8R...

I just have mine set up stock. Elevator & Aileron control only... A V-Tail setup may work but be careful it does not cause a roll when using rudder, try out the rudder at high altitude first to see how the plane reacts to a lot of rudder input.

Rich, what are your throw distances for low rate and high rate for aileron, elevator and rudder? I have it set up as V-Tail. Also, what is your throw distance for takeoff flap and landing flap?

Antonio, I still have the airplane but it is way up high on a top shelf and I have not flown it in several years. I will get it out again but I don't have my set up info at the moment. I would suggest setting up a Low, Medium & higher travel before you fly it so you can switch them in-flight if needed. Make sure Your CG is correct as in my video and it will fly with good stability. Flaps are about 10 to 15 degrees for takeoff & about 30 to 40 for landing

How did you have your brakes set up on a 6 channel rx? I am currently waiting for them to re stock on the v2 of this yf-23. Really want this jet.

Hi Ronan sorry for the delayed response I get so many comments questions and messages I don’t always get to keep up with them! Regarding your question I would have to get my one out and have a look as I haven’t touched it in a long time-if you are following the Facebook page maybe send me a message via the RC informer Facebook page and jog my memory ok things are pretty crazy at the moment with Christmas as you can probably imagine🙂 thanks for your support of the channel and hopefully Banana Hobby are able to get some of these soon-I believe the manufacturer is experiencing material shortages which is part of the hold up-i’ve been thinking about doing another video of the latest version of this aircraft myself!

@@RCINFORMER ok, ya I dont do Facebook, but I appreciate you getting back to me. I really like the yf-23, would love to get one. As you pointed out they havnt been back in stock. I ended up getting a freewing f5 tiger II, 80mm high performance. The f-5 is really phenomenal, for a 6s that 9 blade is a sweet sounding, powerfull, fast, beast. Maybe eventually I will get the new fms 12blade 80mm like you put in your eflite 80mm f16. Well happy holidays, Rich.😎💯

Look at the turn rates and speed my god this thing would have been amazing if really built they need to build 350 of them full scale common Northrop prove raptor is garbage

Actually the speed and performance far exceeded that of the raptor.... The Northrop guys were shocked that they did not win the contract.
