You can probably use a brush to get into those fins. Spray a few light coats first then spray some paint into the lid and get in there with a brush. Is it just the angle or does the drive chain rub across the top of the battery holder?

Yep, the chain rubs on the top deck and the battery. This is by design and you have hard low friction plastic stickers that you mount on the battery and the top deck. Works well but looks strange at first

We don’t have any place to run pan cars. I used to have the Kyosho Buick Stocker that had a similar floating rear pod to the CRC but it had a plastic chassis similar to the Tamiya Frog which made it quite durable bashing around

Yep that’s how it’s designed. You get some low friction armour tape to apply. Sounds bonkers but it works well

Ordered a couple of the carbon chassis kits for my own car builds. Car looked great, I also have the same concerns regarding painting the body shell fins and not flooding them with paint and getting runs 😢

@@RCKickschannel It might be airbrush time. And there is a learning curve, but your painting really good and might be time to get one and use a scrap body or a waste basket and just start learning. Don't let it frustrate or intimidate you own it. Like learning anything.

Good choice and for the money its so much less than the Kyosho version. FYI it's not a nightmare to swap out the full chassis once built, so if you fancy building it but don't want to hold out for the carbon chassis, you can.
