Tamiya released two ta03RS cars with the porsche GT2 body, the PIAA porsche, and the Taisan Porsche. So its obviously a good match. :D

The PIAA Porsche was my 1st Tamiya 😃TA03 RS with the 911 Gt2 Body... In my opinion you are building the car how it have to be 😅 Can`t wait to see more.. Thank you !!

Great build. These were excellent on road cars to build and drive. I still have my TA03F from 1999. It sits in the cabinet now on dispaly. I have newer cars I run.

G’day Gavin, I received my 45th Anniversary Porsche a week ago. I’m not going to build mine yet, just to know I have it is great. The shop I bought mine from in Australia is advertising a second run of this car, but 1 is enough for me. Great show Gavin.

Great building Gavin! The chassis is a really high performance racer with lot of speed. I use the torque tuned motor with a hobby wing 1060 quickrun esc. - great performance!

Excellent video as always, really enjoyed it mate. I had a TA03R many years ago and really went to town with hop-ups, FRP chassis etc. I also had those dampers, they are gorgeous, but rather pricey😆

I hope you get the TA02 carbon conversion for your Tamiya Porsche 934 45th anniversary edition kit. The conversion is now becoming hard to get.

Nice! I noticed this kit has carbon fibre (or is that FRP?) shock towers. The original stock TA03 kits only had plastic, with one upper shock mount position. Looks like you can lay the shocks down to a lower position?

I have the Tamiya Porsche GT2 car. I used the Kyosho line tape on the outside to get the panel lines on the car. What do you think you might do to get the box art ?

a large chunk already come with them cut but others you can use magnets.

Interesting to watch but I’ve never been a fan of the TA03 series cars I kinda skipped that era and went from a TA02 to Kyosho then Team Associated and didn’t own another Tamiya Touring Car again until the TA04R.

Great videos and channel! I have a question though, does Tamiya announce what kits are scheduled to be discontinued anywhere? Lego for instance is very good about announcing retirements. Knowing would maybe help prioritize which kits to buy next.

Hi Gav. Which tyres do you put on the MST wheels ? I have tamiya slicks on mine and they don’t sit right.

I have the kit tyres on the MST rims. I like the super low profile look it gives but for actual running performance just go with the MST tyre options. www.rc-mst.com/product_other.php?class_sn=3

How many hours to build? Could you build in an afternoon or an evening?

Its a quick build this one. The chassis is super simple so just 1.5 - 2 hours. It takes me ages due to all the camera work and stop starting, so I can't give you a set time for my builds that would be relevant.
