I love the Summit, and those tires you have on it are sick! I would love to have one myself. Living in Maine, we get plenty of snow and I think this would be a lot of fun. I just worry about how difficult it would be to work on.

Yeah me too! If you leave it stock there tends to be less issues but if you swap to brushless then the wrenching is probably a lot more prevalent….it is a pain to work on the diffs though

There will be…..but it’s winter……the roads are too icy and slick for speed runs….it’ll probably be a few months before I can go for some top speed attempts

This car is incredible, I'm from Brazil and I have a Summit, please what size are the tires? Congratulations.

You said you unlocked the front and kept the rear locked to help with steering. Did you modify it to do that? I love the Summit, but I wish it came capable of locking the rear with the front unlocked. As someone who grew up wheeling in full size vehicles, I never understood why they made the Summit capable of front only locking vs rear only locking. If I ever want only one axle locked it is almost always going to be the rear. So, did you come up with a modification to convert it, or was that a slip of the toung? If yours can somehow lock the rear independently of the front I would love to know who you have accomplished this. Thanks.
@RCKnockout2 жыл бұрын
Yeah you can lock one of them or both….with the toggle….if the front one locks when you flip the toggle once…..( which was my original issue )…just swap the servo into the other channel….so the rear will lock first and then toggle all the way forward to lock up the front as well

Hey have you burnt up any motors. Mine keeps melting the cooling fan it gets so hot.
@RCKnockout2 жыл бұрын
I might have burned up one motor on this one?……can’t remember tbh
@rcdefygravity99832 жыл бұрын
I burnt one up running through water but some long grass got in the driveline. I think that burnt up my 1st then just ceawling up some rocks and all the plastic in the motor burnt up but it still works.

I have a castle 2200kv motor in my slash now and I have mod 1 gearing but the gear cover won't fit on it, the gears rub on the cover do you have any suggestions? It's 2wd btw thanks.
@RCKnockout3 жыл бұрын
So the motor shaft is longer with this motor? Is that what’s actually coming in contact with the cover?

@@faerysb2305 just took a quick look….there wasn’t any sound….I couldn’t tell….is it the pinion or the slipper that’s touching? Does it have to do with the aluminum motor mount you’re running?
@faerysb23053 жыл бұрын
@@RCKnockout I think I figured it out when I put the aluminum diff case together I didn't put the spur shaft in all the way so I hammered it down ans now it works

@ I just got my first one and I’m tempted to do the Lt conversion To me it makes since you keep it fairly stock , doesn’t seam like there’s much you can do to bullet proof tune drivetrain
@RCKnockoutАй бұрын
@ the drivetrain definitely is flawed…it’s best to keep it close to stock power level to keep it reliable
