Great video! Beautiful place to trail with the Summit! Tires and Wheels look Great. I have a set of RC4WD wheels with the Pitbull Rockbeast 3.8s. They're Big but perform Great plus the added clearance

Nice! Yeah it was an Awesome Location!! So are the Pitbull Rockbeasts made by RC4wd or someone else? Also are the RC4wd Wheels you’re running Aluminum Wheels?
@frankmontoya3413 жыл бұрын
@@RCKnockout The Pitbull Rockbeast, I ordered them from Pitbull Rc and the wheels are the plastic ones. I might order the Aluminum ones later. They carry a hefty price tag.

Hi i have a summit and i love it but it has alot of water in one of the wheels is there a way to Get the water out ?
@RCKnockout3 жыл бұрын
Drill tiny holes down the middle of the tire…so it flings the water out when the tires are spinning fast…that’s the only method I know of

The summit is a much larger machine….:has 3.8s compared to the Trx-4 which has 2.2s….depends on if you want scale or not?

Do the mud slingers ballon when at speeds

Not at the speeds this thing goes lol….the rubber is pretty thick actually…not sure if they’d balloon or not running on a brushless machine??

Awesome crawling! I think it could’ve made it up that loose hill if you locked the diffs, crazy how much locked diffs let you get away with
@RCKnockout3 жыл бұрын
Maybe….I think I probably would’ve broken an axle though..which would have put an end to my fun….lockers are extremely helpful though
@V8chump3 жыл бұрын
@@RCKnockout you think? I don’t have any experience with a summit but that was pretty loose stuff and I’ve driven crawlers up hills that no human couldn’t get up even on all fours, crazy shit 🤣 Hopefully I can get a video of it before winter hits
@RCKnockout3 жыл бұрын
@@V8chump yeah…these wheels and tires are heavy…there a lot of rotational mass to them…I think at the top of that hill climb where the roots were….that’s where it would have broken…it definitely bound up a few times probably because it was pretty undercut beneath that root

Im not familiar with the Summit ... so is that drive train noise normal? It sounds like the gear mesh is way to tight and its screaming ... ? Maybe its just how they are ... also, thos tires are just out of control nutz! Like look at the damn lugs on them HaHa!
@RCKnockout3 жыл бұрын
I’ve taken that motor out 3-4 times now….it doesn’t have to do with the gear mesh it still sounds like that…it is definitely louder than my other Summit…it might be a gear in the trans that’s wearing unevenly or something?…at full throttle it sounds way better…it only has that higher whine at low to mid throttle…full throttle it basically goes away…yeah the tires are pretty awesome!!
@charliebrown2383 жыл бұрын
@@RCKnockout yah I noticed none of the other Summit owners have said anything, thats what made me think its just how the Summit is :) and yah, those tires are nutz! cheers again for the great video! If any one in these comments is interested in a new fully built Traxxas summit i might let one go. It's got these rc4wd tires all hot racing metal drive shafts and center drive shaft has full metal Bell crank and steering saver hot racing has the metal leading edge machining metal transmission inner dog carrier that eliminates the tranny slop. Has rpm tru track kit on rear that deletes the weak points the rear links. Powered by castle 1515 mamba monster 2 and castle 1515 2200kv and badass reefs triple 5 servo on high voltage 1000oz/in torque ran thru a Holmes hobbies rx bypass so just the reefs servo gets 8.4v through a castle bec but the stock mini servos run on the stock voltage and so does the receiver. Metal spur gear. Upgraded shocks and 20lb gold springs metal rocker arms abec 5 bearings just a tank built for durability. Mint condition. Get at me if you're interested atleast check out some pictures she's a beast and on sensored Mode you can crawl slower than stock or do a standing backflip. All metal skid plates also. All diffs are good and strong and shifts perfectly I've only ran it twice didn't want to scratch it after putting thousands into it.
