These cheaper RCs like the 2wd slash stampede and bandit are really fun to upgrade into your own project. A speed 2wd build or a 2wd track build starting from a 2wd slash kit is super satisfying… you start with parts in a bag and gradually build up to a brushless 2wd beast over time.

I have never broken my stampede it only striped a servo gear and I upgraded to metal but I jump my stampede really high and it’s been taking it for 5 years now

I put a 4200kv, 90t, 22t on 2s and 3s, thing rips. I also lowered the suspension with zip ties and handles better for sure. Im considering challenging my dad and uncle with their bandit VXL and rustler around the asphalt track. Stock gears, driveshafts, servo/servo saver and still goin. Just got it used on eBay as a roller without remote. Replaced the ESC with a 60a paired with my FS 3b.

When I first got my slash I did the same thing. Front bulkhead broke and it broke at the chassis on the rear end. Was hcg tho so gave me a reason to get the lcg. I also recently purchased a stampede 4x4 vxl love that truck.

Yeah that kind of mishaps can happen…simple mistake on my part….it does give you an excuse to upgrade lol

You should convert the stampede chassis to a rustler chassis, it would make it handle wayyy better, and still amazing on jumps.

Cool build! I like the badlands on the Maxx wheels. Around 2 years ago I ran some cheap Amazon driveshafts in my Hoss. They were similar to the ones in your stampede. In the first run I’ve bent and broken 2 of them. They also fall apart to. How’s your luck with them.?

Cool truck put a wheelie bar on mine, try the 2wd rustler front wheels, truck turns better and I love the look of it

I remember breaking my stampede like that in 2020, i jumped it but i hit the curb and i didnt see where it hit because it jumped over a hill, unfortunatley it broke the whole front axle, but fixed it and now its up and running

You should get body clip retainers for that so you don’t loose body clips

That’s not a bad idea…the clips getting bent out of shape is most of the problem why they come off though

Traxxas body clips are cheaply made. I’ve lost and bent so much of those so I feel your pain with those! I just got a Arrma Kraton 4s v2 a few weeks ago and it was the complete opposite I could barely get them out but I replaced all of them with others. Don’t know what brand they are but they come out way dang easier than the Arrma ones.
