I will say he is crazy booked and busy right now but it never hurts to ask and see if he can fit you in if you would like an engine.
@arthurhenk39192 жыл бұрын
What carb and needle settings are on this (your dad's) buggy? I ask because I just got a Rovan 36cc (single ring) buggy with the Walbro 1191. I've heard they're the same as an 1107. The 1107 uses 1 7/8 for the high needle and 1 3/8 for the low as factory settings. Rovan suggests 2 1/4 high and 1 1/4 low for factory settings on the 36cc. I'm curious where you ended up on your dad's buggy for needle settings. I have the same Taylor pipe too by the way.
@eastsiderc2 жыл бұрын
Hey Art Your are correct with that info. 2- 1/4 is a lot for a stock engine. But I will check for ya when I go over to dads and see what the settings are and Ill let you know! The tune dad has right now though is a fall winter tune. If he runs now it will be way to rich as its gotten much warmer out. Warm thin air requires less fuel . And we run 50:1 also so our needles will be set different from the 25:1 mix most people run. We run a mix of 112 octane with a 50:1 ratio. My tune is with that . So if you are not using the same thing Im using the your needle setting will be much different from mine. Hope that makes sense for ya! Also the 1191 is def the same as 1107 both are walbro carbs the 1107 is a Husqvarna part number and the 1191 is the Chinese part number for the china line of Walbro carbs. Not being a know it all it just a fact! I hope you Have a great day Art!! 🤝⛽️⛽️⛽️⛽️

I have a stock 30.5cc 5b and the clutch bell gets super hot, is that normal? The idle is right at the limit of slipping the clutch and it doesn't slip until I give it some throttle yet it gets super hot, like burn your finger hot and im in a climate that is below freezing so hot weather is not really in issue. Also what tires do you recommend for long lasting off road (grass) performance. If there is a tire that is good for grass and tarmac without getting chewed up, that would be great. And getting it cheap would be awesome, because paying more than 15-20 dollars for each tire alone is a bit out of my budget for tires period.
@eastsiderc2 жыл бұрын
Knobbies work great from Rovan or BRP super spikes work fantastic and But the BRP knobbies is a great all around tire as well! For road or dirt! As for the clutch getting hot, you could have drag somewhere or it could be your tune! If you’re to rich its gonna slip! Set your low first then your high needle. Set the low so it has a nice low pop idle and comes out of the whole hard (locking the clutch up) after that is good then you adjust your high needle just listen to the engine it will tell you what it wants! You should be making killer power if you are running in cold weather!

Y’all gotta get the big bore shocks from Europe for these buggies. Else when they wreck the stock shocks are definitely snapping. Stock shocks are too small to support the weight when you do crash these buggies & two Big bore shocks from Europe are going to run you about $150 give or take. They are well worth the money though!
