Excellent review ! I'm a newbie in crawling and I learnt a lot from your videos. Following a deep survey, in February 2024 I purchased a FCX24 K5 Blazer. I consider myself satisfied by this choice. Now I was kind of disappointed discovering this new sudden brushless release. But watching K5 Blazer PRO videos my impressions are coincing to what you are stating in this review. good point about brushed 2-speed vs brushless single speed. That the dip switches don't do anything, 4ch does not work, and no programmable esc, lights always on. This is all odd and feels like huge oversights that usually fms doesn't make.

Personally I think if you're comparing the Pro to the stock FCX24 it's a no brainer and much better value for money. Most the brushless rtr's right now are $199, but you don't get a nice hard body with them like you do the FMS. The punch you get with the brushless, even in 1st is great for hopping obstacles, where as on the brushed version you'd have to pop it in 2nd gear. It's a shame it's not waterproof though, especially for me! 😬🤣 Either way hopefully its a good sign of things to come from FMS. Now we just need some different and cooler bodies. 👍

yes this review isnt so accurate watch other reviews to get a more honest view it is more faster you can clearly see it in other videos but this video dosent even show you a good comparison .it is a no brainer .the original was horrible this version blows it away .now if lazy traxxas would release new brushless upgrades version but i doubt it traxxas is lame soon to be outdated just watch some other videos on this one to get a more accurate description

Always appreciate your honest reviews. 💯 I’ve got a K5 and don’t find the brushed speed control lacking at all. What’s more annoying is the slop in the gearing, which I have to say, either this brushless system or the metal drivetrain seems to iron out better. Along with the metal-body adjustable oil shocks, that is the biggest improvement.

What about my fcx k5 is heavy and the stock brushed motor will cog and not even move in slow speed climbs. Will the fms brushless help with this? Awesome, informative video thanks!

I ordered this car after watching your great review. However, I bought it to use in a jetracer project to learn about AI machine learning. The potential issue is the software was written for Traxxas, which has different PWM for ESC. Can you point me in the right direction to figure out the PWM format for control of steering and speed., thank, mike
