You're the Cable News Channel for RC bro. Very enjoyable.

The Element RC Factory Team Brass adapters will work with SSD Assassin aluminum wheels also.

And the Vanquish front and rear bumpers are perfect additions to the Element. Did have to drill out the holes in the new Samix front bumper to accommodate the larger posts of the Vanquish bumper. When I shortened the posts on the Vanquish bumper, I also removed some material at the base of the posts to be able to slide in the bumper another 1/8" for more frontal clearance. For ultimate body clearance, I use an Axial Wrath Spawn to get great approach and departure angles. This body is perfect width too because the stock sliders are all the way in with it.

Finally got the opportunity (no snow lately) to test the Enduro with the Samix lowered battery tray and front servo/bumper mount; plus, Beef Tubes front/rear axles. Only additional work has been to hack away some plastic from the Vanquish front bumper to further recess it to provide a better approach angle. Winner, winner chicken dinner!

Francis. I spaced the Samix tray 12mm down from the two side attachment pieces to duplicate your having placed a 2S battery on the underside of the tray. Also shortened the back of the tray to clear the motor and front driveshaft. Fits a Protec 4100 3S pack nicely. Lost a bit of stiffness with this mod; but, the installation looks really good. Still playing with the servo at the front. Want pictures?
@RCReviewChannel5 жыл бұрын
Yes please. Our builder is doing the same thing at this moment. 12mm is the max it can be dropped? Did you chop the tray at all?
@billderas34205 жыл бұрын
@@RCReviewChannel Chopped the tray at both ends to clear the servo arm at the front and 550 motor at the rear. Already had. some aluminum 12 mm spacers; so, that is what I used. Could have gotten away with another 1-2 mm lower; but, the servo arm does come into play. Like you said, it needs a 2-3 mm shorter steering link. The servo and battery placements should really help when things get vertical.

the element brass hubs work on ssd wheels and fit inside the heavy weight rotor for the ssd wheels

Awesome, so good to hear someone else's squeaks too. I can't seem to find where it is coming from😂

A drop of oil/chain lube on the universals will take care of the squeak.

I've been thinking about these parts for a few..I added almost every Samix brass and aluminum pieces already to my element and it made a huge difference in performance!..I added over 10oz of unsprung weight with brass front knuckles,brass rear axle weights,brass 8mm hexes and brass lower shock spring cups..also added adjustable aluminum shock towers and aluminum servo tray..aluminum rear bumper eliminator..both stiffened the frame considerably..only thing I'm not sure on is if I want to flip the transmission and motor to the rear?..THANKS for the killer video!!!

Right on. The video turned out good since we have true before/after videos on the exact same lines.

Samix did a great job coming out with some upgrade parts. The Element is such a great vehicle already and being able to make some improvements is only going to make it that much better. Great video as always!!!!

I can clearly see an improvement in climbing straight up. Tho , I'm not a fan of placing the battery higher between the shock-hoops. The sliders are the best and lowest place to put the battery. Also adding sprung-weight like the front brass servo mount doesn't help in the over big picture...going up hill...yes , it helps...but side hilling and down hill it's a hindrance. Plus , where you going to put a winch?.... BUT...it's nice to have options in tuning. Good video as always. Keep up the good work.

I would have liked to have seen the climbs with the Origin body as the stock body has some departure angle issues... I wish Samix would have come out with those upgrades before I purchased my Club 5 Racing front aluminum servo mount. Keep the Element upgrades coming! 👍

We have the Origin body runs now as we filmed a lot today. Definitely not as good on the steeps since the CG is a big higer with SUV body and fancy interior. But.... looks so good now.

We have done some similar modifications to our crawlers and works really well ! But our questions is: why famous brand in RC Crawler vehicle miss those simple (and not more expensive if done as stock options!) guidelines in their projects ?? Recently we have bought a cheap chassis on Amazon (120€ - Axial costs more than 200€ and has no motor, Traxxas more than 300€ with tires and body) to try its potential... as stock it has the same configuration You have suggested in this video !! Battery try is made of steel, so is hard and ads front weight, the servo is very forward. It's is not surprising is actually the best Crawler for steep rock climbs !!

I have the Trx4 Bronco. I am looking at the Trx4 sport kit or this kit. Still thinking about it. Are you still recommending the TRX4?
@1970scout8005 жыл бұрын
I had 2 trx4 Broncos..one built and one stock..absolutely killer trucks!..the element is just a little bit better than a trx-4 in my honest opinion.

For sure. The TRX-4 Sport kit is the burliest, most capable crawler around.

Francis. Wish I had seen this review before ordering the Samix battery tray and bumper mount for my Enduro. Very disappointed in Samix for not taking advantage of the huge expanse of space available below their tray. Not too thrilled about the steering inkage change either. And then there is the conflict with a 550 sized motor. Lame, lame, lame. Very creative of you to see that you could attach a battery below the tray. Many thanks for your insight into these supposed improvement parts...NOT!

Hard pass. To much weight mounted to high in the chassis. Add that to it moving the battery higher as well and jacking with the factory steering. All that and only $60.00.🤣

If this thing gets any better, you'll have to switch to 4.19" tires to bring the fun back.

Funny thing is 4.19" tires is the key mod to lower the center of gravity. Our buddy has this setup and it sidehills like a boss.
