Every video I watch of this truck makes me want it more. I've already purchased two version 1's (1 for my brother) as well as I've got the Super Rock Rey. 3 vehicles on this platform and now I want a fourth (3rd for myself). The scale detail is very much on par with the UDR but the size of the SBR makes it easier to detail the individual peices. I also like how the spares are upright like found in a full scale trophy truck. That's one spot the UDR falls short. I definitely wouldn't sell/get rid of my UDR as it's handled everything I've thrown at it with very few issues. Aside from that, the UDR is definitely a lot more manageable carrying it around vs the 7 pounds heavier SBR or SRR. Both the SBR and the UDR have their pros where the opposing is a con. The SBR, at least the version 1, stock for stock is more durable, but the UDR wasn't designed with jumping and beating on in mind. When it comes to slow motion shots, I definitely feel like the UDR has the better looking suspension. If you are looking to beat on it, the SBR probably is better for ya.
@LtZerge4 жыл бұрын
The lay-down spares to be fair to the UDR are a thing some trucks do, and the real RIGID industries vehicle it is based on does use the two laydowns. It's not accurate for the Lofton edition of the truck, though. One area the UDR does do better that is extremely hard to do on the Baja Reys is the scale dual shock setup. I think that helps its suspension tuning, and mimics the effect of a single much larger shock. I managed to do it on my 1/10 baja rey, but it took a CNC machine and a lot patience to get working right. It's even harder on the SBR because of the thicker drive shafts and links, but I don't have one (yet) to try it on. You're right on with the massive weight difference, but that's completely expected because the UDR is just a big plastic tub, where as the BR/SBR has a thick metal chassis/brace and other thicker metal parts to deal with

My Jack Russell Terrorist (terrier) loves his Rc trucks! He will chase the truck but likes it better when we attach his squirrel toys to the truck and drag em behind! The toys are detachable so when he grabs one it comes off without hurting the Rc or tipping it! We keep a couple of the toys on rotation just in case hes proud and doesnt want to give up his “catch”.

Never stops at one. Lol. Trust me. Always see something else you like. When I got into the hobby, I literally said "this Revo is enough for me". After having purchased 3 more after that I said "1/7 scale is as big as I will ever buy". Now I've got a 1/5 scale and it is by far my favorite out of my whole collection. My boat is probably my very close second favorite. I hope you get more without having to break the bank doing so because this hobby has soooooo much to offer.

@@rawrc423 Do you have an idea of what type of 1/10 you want? There's a lot to pick from in that category. My 1/10 scale models are Traxxas TRX4 Bronco, Losi Tenacity DB Pro, (next two are closer to 1/8, but are referred to being 1/10 by the manufacturer) Traxxas Revo 3.3, and Traxxas Summit. Traxxas products tend to be more expensive that similar sized other companies. I like my Traxxas RCs a lot though and more often than not, parts are easy to come by. If you tell me what type of terrain you want to drive it on, I may be able to help or at least suggest a good product to look into.
@rawrc4234 жыл бұрын
@@SebastianLong i would lov to be able to adored the trx bronco. Lol its bad
@SebastianLong4 жыл бұрын
@@rawrc423 Well I can tell you a few issues I've had with mine that you can expect to be extra expenses if you get one. The servos, namely the steering servo, will die fairly early on. Also the stock servo horn will strip out pretty easily. A new servo (definitely suggest aftermarket) can run anything between $20 for a cheapo up to $200+ for a quality. Between $20-40 dollars will last you quite a while. As far as servo horn, get an aluminum one. Beware though as some will be too long and interfere with steering travel. Traxxas has an upgraded aluminum which is a stock replacement and is guaranteed to fit. It's a little more expensive than most on the market but you won't have to worry about it not fitting. I've had very good luck with Power HD servos which run about $30-40 dependant on which version you buy. Many people also run Savox which typically run a little more expensive. In my Bronco I run Power HD DW25LV and has been very reliable but was $65. As far as the micro servos, at least the route I went, removed/bypassed the selectable lockers and installed spools front and rear. $10 each. Other than those few things, you should have very few problems. 1 fully charged battery 5000 mAh will last you about 2 hours run time, a little less if you use the high speed gear of the two speed transmission. The aftermarket support is nearly endless. Hope this helps. ☺
