@@RCTNT I have read/seen very good references of the MST. I'm even looking at it as a second RC at home for me :-/ for the Wife I mean, an MST CFX-W J45C RTR Gray :-( Too bad she likes a TRX4 better with Body than a Range Rover Classic or Unimog :-( -/

Nice video again, mate! Good to see Tully there, and now I'm beginning to get familiar with your problems, I think I'll be going back to watch your Gatekeeper video again. I had my Gatekeeper out recently, I made a short little video if you want to see, it was okay fun in the snow, but I do miss my rocks, ha ha!

Thanks! I'll gladly check out your video later tonight. Cheers :)

Thank you! This rig is growing on me and I agree, it isn't far from being pretty decent for its type.

Thanks! This isn't such a bad little rig, yeah! It's growing on me :) Gotta print an interior for it next!

That was encouraging for this little rig. I thought that first review would be all we'd see from it. Good to know that very few but carefully selected upgrades bring this to a much higher level, and fun. Those rock hopping jumps were actually quite amusing to watch. I felt similarly with my CMX Jimny ("J3", 242mm wb) when I first built it out of the box. Quite able if you take the chance of overdriving it in a few specific occasions. It's lightness and compactness made it able to deal with that sort of abuse without being t risk of high damage or able to recover if things started to go wrong. Always a treat learning through these vids! Any plans on a next upgrade, or so far leaning towards enjoying as is? I also enjoyed the new camera angles for the problems. Adding a bit more of variety, yet remaining consistent with the testing and evaluation methodology. 👍

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I think we'll do more with this rig. It's so light, I'll keep it that way. It's a strength, for sure. Thinking on what to do next, I'll come back to it after the first BRX01 and RGT Rescuer videos are done, at any rate. Looking forward to seeing where we can take the DC1, there's plenty of potential there!

@@RCTNT awesome! Although not in the market for it, was pleasantly surprised by it on this vid. Don't mind more content with it at this point. Always down for some of a novelty approach and/or rigs

Just found your channel, enjoying your journey. Do you think the dc1 disco body will fit on the trx sport?

The Proline TSL Super Swampers SX? They've been around for several years at least - even the set in this video is about 3 years old, now I think about it. Covid kinda compresses my memory of time but I'm sure I bought these a year or so before it all started. Anyway, Proline does a lot of good crawler tires, if you haven't checked them out before. Cheers
@jamesjohnson59252 жыл бұрын
@@RCTNT it's just I've only ever seen them in 4.75 and 3.85 on a 1.55 rim. I know Injora do a set that are 110mm in height too. Just wanted to check if they were the smaller ones maybe

@@jamesjohnson5925 ah I see! Proline give a lot of detail on their website for each product. Maybe look there if you need more.

Here's a test idea - given the same sticky tyres, gearing and identical approach/departure angles is there actually any significant difference between all the different brand chassis? The only major thing I can think of would be CoG and ground clearance eg portals.

Funny you should suggest that... kzbin.info/www/bejne/onKxmWyHfL2Sj5o :) Although I see the nuance of what you're suggesting. Could be something to be dug into a bit more, yeah!

That was a good save on 1. I know in real life I couldn’t afford to try to do that with my truck. I would drive around problem 2 in real life!!! What size is that truck 12th scale?

It's a 1/10 scale. Nice little thing it is, too.

with this super nice body ,clips are a no go.And way to much toe out on the front axel.

Agreed on both counts. Their included hardware makes it too wide even on the most narrow setting (both ends tightened fully). Needs a shorter link.

This is a scale rig, not a LCG crawler
@RCTNT Жыл бұрын
And that means I shouldn't be trying to test its performance so we have a comparison with all the other rigs? The point of the 6 problem course is to give us a benchmark for all the rigs we test here. You know what you're getting then. Hopefully, that's useful! Cheers
