Spitfire, Mustang even some of the bigger Biplanes you can hide it behind a fake radial engine! What a cool invention. I feel like I've been living in a cave because I have never heard of this engine concept before. ???? I have to investigate the link you posted and see what else is on the internet! WOW! The holes you where referring to in this video are ports. Intake and exhaust ports are timed by a rotating cylinder that acts for the action of the valves and camshaft apparatus correctly timing the engine in a four stroke internal combustion fashion without the normal moving parts associated with the operation of a four-stroke engine. There I said it! Thank you Blaz and Robert for all the fun and totally informative KZbin Videos. You guys are the best! Salute! Carl Cgul

It comes with a starter key you put it on the normal type starter but you have to reverse your power because it spins the other direction. It starts it from the top and turns pretty easy because of the gear reduction.

What a nice engine. I really liked the sound of it, just a little different from the other makes. It looks and sounds like it will fly an aircraft around at less than half throttle and very quiet also, because of the large prop and the design of the engine. Not to be sour puss my good brother, but have just done some reading up on these engines, they recommend not to use wording prop, use a heavy glass fiber prop to give some flywheel affect and reduce vibration though pulsing, and also to stop it from a potential over rev. I know, very late reply to this video, but hopefully it will help in future if you decide to put it in a massive warbird

@PacificAirwave1444 жыл бұрын
Yeh...maybe the radial machining of the heat fins is cheaper but put in radial cuts to allow airflow through the fins. More uniform cooling instead of having the base of the cylinder air-starved and running hotter/looser than the top end.

beautiful engine and sounds great capt.Blaz, This would be Great in Some WW1 BiSexual or even the Bristol Planes would be a good looking model but for whatever plane you put will be an awesome touch to the finnish of the model , glad it started first flick and yes lots of ebgines once there running without the cooling of flying they are harder to start but thanks for sharing this beauty with us all , big Salute to you and Pilot Robert . :-)

@gordonfraser60254 жыл бұрын
I had one of these engines here in the U.K. The engines need to run in over a much longer time than a normal engine does, and it will really run very hot until it starts to settle down. Do not panick about the heat as it does run cooler once the engine is run in. You can get spares here in the U.K. and you can also get a pitts style silencer that makes the engine even more compact. When are you going to fly your Sebart Fiat G91 PAN edf ? I am really waiting to see you fly that jet. Gordon. U.K. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Hi there, did you try to run this engine by rotating 90 degrees from its normal position (the starting screw is at the top) such that its carburetor is at the bottom? That is the only way this thing seems would be able to fit in a Spitfire cowling :-)) I see that you are running at the normal position in the video. I love your vids :-))

That's a pretty neat engine guys. Different. Would love to see the insides of it some day. It will be interesting to see how efficient it is as rotary car engines aren't very good on fuel mileage.
@timburns3793 жыл бұрын
It is not a rotary engine it is a rotary valve there is still a piston that reciprocates the entire cylinder rotates to operate a rotary valve as well as rotate the prop. It in effect is a gear reduction drive which is why it can swing such a huge prop and it is WICKED COOL! Where can they be purchased Captain Blaz? I cant wait to see this on the Tacano!
@brucebaxter69232 жыл бұрын
Only good point is it’s small with double the torque. It has to run premix and it has heating issues. Hmmm, random thought, wet sleeve the motor?
