Lovely bike Carsten. MK1 purest and the best. I also owned the same bike in the UK as an 18 year old.... an unrestricted version 21 hp. I purchased the same bike again a Swiss import some years ago and had it restored. I love it.

How fast is the unrestricted version according to papers and in reality? Back in 1987 to 1990 I had an RD 80LCII which is the same bike, but with 80cc engine/9,8 HP. Max. speed with a 15 teeth sprocket was about 90-95km/h, later I installed a Malossi cylinder which should have made 16 HP and with a bigger carb and racing exhaust it maxed out at about 125km/h.

I Had one of those in those colours in 1988....£300 for a dropped one, few bits and new handle bars from southern bike spares and back on the road, those were the days, with 2 stroke unreliability and pushing it home in the rain😁

Had one in this colour. Mine was tatty, but I loved it. I still remember the scratches on the tank! Engine seized on me but got it rebuilt. I'm too old now for cold knees, runny nose and cold fingers of northwest Europe 9 months a year.

Nice to see old buddy, had dark red back in the 80's. unfortunately it's (fortunately not mine) life ended in crash when car crashed me. I loved it and now searching to buy another again LOL. I remember it started to live in 6krpm and then it really jumped into action! Thanks Carsten!
