This video was so inspiring!, I'm currently an engineering student and life is just tough, I dread the days where I get back an exam that did very poor in. Somedays there are days where you get multiple poor grades, but in the end I keep on telling my self to keep my chin up and try not to make those mistakes/ learn how to study better. Someday I hope to work as an electrical engineer at HONDA...cars are my passion!

HONDA to me is a very special company and a very unique company. Partly because at HONDA it's almost always a person from the engineering department that makes it to the CEO position. It seems that most other manufacturers only like to promote people from the sales department to the CEO position.

Good vid. But Honda is big enough to fail a lot and still come out a winner. For a smaller company with fewer resources, failure can mean the end.
@MrRobocop1210 жыл бұрын
no a big company that fails is devastating look at goldman sachs. Since everything is failed by a percent value as opposed to numericals. And when you have huge numbers just 10 percent is pretty hard on the company
@stefanohandsome16239 жыл бұрын
In a real world, if you fail then you don't survive. That's why you leave the experiments and trials to R&D and Marketing dept. Stupid... That girl who picked orange color should have been fired as she even admitted that she didn't do her marketing homework prior to... Also her immediate boss too for letting her suggest without doing little background check to see where she's coming from... This is really STUPID. You want inspiration then go study TOYOTA and understand/strategize ways to BEAT them. Dreaming is for losers, wake up and smell the coffee! There's only one place for #1, second place means you lost already... Come on!
@domainmojo21627 жыл бұрын
Not really- Honda failed quite a few times when he started out and some failures were devastating- basically the end of Honda if you were an observer; and they would've meant the end of other companies/individuals, BUT he kept on standing up and having a go. THAT'S where Honda's philosophy of not being scared to fail comes from. They were happy to fail when they were small and they are happy to fail when they got bigger.

Of course there would be. It's a total fallacy that the person who is credited for inventing something is the only person in history, or even during that year, that could have ever invented that thing. When the components and understanding to enable an invention are present, it's almost inevitable. There are a LOT of examples of this happening. One example: two men tried to patent the telephone on the same day, just a few hours apart. They both invented it, only Bell got credit.

I'm just wondering, do you really need to fail in order to succeed or is it optional?
@dilyg86039 жыл бұрын
Ramy El-desouki I think failure is a must. How will you appreciate success unless you fail multiple times? How will you learn new things and challenge yourself if you just "succeed"? I've yet to learn about anyone that's successful that made it that far without failing. Look into the story of any successful person you might admire and you'll see the failures they've endured.
@Jigar_Vyas9 жыл бұрын
I think we should not think about falier but we must think about how to get succeded.give your best and when you fail inspite of giving your best you must not giveup but to look after your mistake which you made in past and to do you best not to repeat that mistake again.you must be confident (not over confident) of your self.everything is possible.

So, I've personally seen a leaking transmission on a '11 Crv with 83 miles, the 01 to 04 civics blowing shocks with less than 10,000 miles, from lack of caster, junk Showa powersteering racks, Odysseys with incorrectly clearanced cam bores that lock up at 10,000 miles etc... This is all part of your winning strategy? It's a shame that quality control at Honda died in '91 along with Soichiro.

@sausagenmuff Oh s2000 use to be the most powerful naturally aspirated mass produced car engine per liter of displacement in this case 2.0 liter engine making 246 hp meaning 123 hp per liter until it was beaten by the Ferrari 458 Italia.

@sausagenmuff the problem is not everyone is the perfect driver and a machine have there limits so the old hondas were a death trap on wheels I have never (knock on wood) crashed into anyone going fast but I did hit a tree around a bend when I unknowingly hit black ice and this is one of the many unknowns of street racing lucky for me it wasn't a honda I was driving or I would be dead today if they are going to make lighter cars they better make them safer

So, what sevice is required in the first 83 miles of a '11 crv to keep the trasfercase from dumping pink fluid all over your garage floor. There are significantly more problems with the Hondas that were not designed under the supervision of the man who started the company n had no probem telling someone when they screwed up. It is clearly evident that the cost engineers took control of Honda in the mid-90's.

@sausagenmuff yeah its basically giving you power only when it's needed so that there is less stress on the motor in the low rpm range and the fact that the car is lighter cause less demand on the motor to hit 60mph then it would if that car were 500lbs lighter imagine putting the idea of v-tech into other engines if thats doable then my friend we have a really crazy motor
