In his talk, Gould discusses the important role dreams and memories play in our lives.
Jeff Gould has managed the Funeral Planning department for 10 years. “The best part of what I do is the learning the stories and life lessons of families we serve. I meet people every day who may or may not be rich, but have led rich lives.”
An accomplished speaker, Jeff speaks to thousands of people either in person, or on his annual Christmas Radio Program, A Prairie Christmas. He is a current board member of Tiger Nation, Sales and Marketing Executives and is a lay speaker at Hilltop United Methodist Church.
Jeff and his wife Libby have four daughters and a 125 year old house that keep them busy.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

This talk is 😍 amazing. It touched me to my core. So many lessons we have been given in just one talk! The lesson of the power and healing of human touch. The lesson that God knows our deeper yearnings and when we open our hearts he can use us to do remarkable things that bring fulfilment and joy. The power of remembering actively and daily searching for things that make us happy and that we are grateful for and how that simple act can bring more things into our lives to be grateful for and how it raises our vibration. And finally the lessons of the perspective and choosing to let good memories imprint your mind. I was searching for dream and dream meanings and interpretation, but it was no accident I came across this Ted talk, so profound. I'm touched. Thank you

I was listening to Ted Talk when and i fell fast asleep. However, I woke up to Dolores story and her Grandson and It reminded me of 8 years that i dedicated to a person i met at a bus stop who was homeless. When he was a young boy, his parents put him up for adoption and it caused him lots of pain in his heart and because of this he made wrong choices. I saw great potential in this person and i didn't give up on him even though he had troubles due to alcoholism and mental illness. We became best friends for 8 years. In all these years, i didn't give up on him and I poured myself into his life I advocated for him to make sure he got a home, therapy and right meds. I saw him flourish to the person i knew he would become. Then one day he met someone who took him down a wrongful path and he started drinking heavily again and began taking drugs. He pushed me away and I couldn't see him any longer. That burden did push me down and it made me so sad, but as Dolores did, I will carry this burden on wings of a dream for who I could be. Thank you Jeff, listening to your stories is the best thing that happened to me today. I will not stop praying & dreaming, God Bless you.

Have you noticed that you can have memories in your dreams, memories of things you see or may have done in the past but inside your dreams, which shows that our mind is capable of inventing memories that fit the context of the dream and at that moment when you are dreaming and you are in a certain place in your dream and you recollect a memory related to that place, a memory that never existed and that your mind created for that dream but at the moment of dreaming you are sure you had that experience in the past but inside the context of the dream! Now I wonder if when awake our memories are also an invention of our mind?

I enjoyed it but it seems like your standard, "empowering, motivational" speech. Next, he has to remind the audience that he has books/cd's/a website where people can buy products on self improvement. Lastly, I question about this speaker and the stories he told. Were the stories that he told real or just fabricated to fit his cause?

Good question. I have been having strange reaccurring dreams of an old house I've never been to. More like a building really. I remember every room including the hidden children's playrooms & pass the huge kitchen is a special room where they do experiments on patients. I started keeping a journal on my dreams.
