Quick comment on the Luddy badges - The Transition series of badges were used between Nov 1958 - Nov 1960 during the brand switch between WFL to Ludwig Drum Co. In that period, you can find drums that mixes WFL and Ludwig hardware

@@ImSueeb @E-Tube315 Maybe Easton Mitchell wants to be able to play the snare drum first. I'm a guitar player, but I know that the snare is pretty important to a drummer, and I wouldn't want to buy a guitar without playing it first if I can help it.

Adam Rainstopper Thats exactly what I want to do. I don't want to spend a lot of money on something from online if I haven't played in person first. Videos usually mix the sounds of the drums and even if they don't they don't sound the same as it would in person.

That Ludwig drum; the painting could be original because the grommet there doesn't look tampered with, or replaced, as best I can tell. The top rim looks to be Slingerland, the bottom looks to be a brass hoop which is most likely original. The paint would be referred to as "Duco," meaning Dupont Company paint (same term is used to often describe the two tone finish on some drums). That transition era badge is between late 1958 and into 1960 when William F Ludwig II bought his name back and began making drums under the Ludwig name again.

Like your Imperial Star snare drum at the end of your video .The Pearl sensitone aluminum is a great snare I think you'll like it . I had a 6.5x14 Pearl aluminum snare drum and I really enjoyed it but I sold it. The Ludwig supraphonic the shell that you have that has a lot of pitting you can have the Chrome professionally removed and then shine up the aluminum shell and it'll look pretty bright give it a shot. That's a pretty sweet 8x15 old Ludwig snare drum you have there, can't wait to see what you do to it and also hear it.

As far as I'm aware, Rogers drums were only made in the U.S.A. That was until they went belly-up and sold off to Brook Mays in 1998. I believe some of the Rogers Drums I had during the Brook Mays era were maid in Taiwan. In 2006 Brook Mays sold off Rogers to Yamaha who in turn sold them to Dixon in 2017. Rogers Drums are now being handmade by Bill Detamore of Pork Pie Percussion for Dixon.

Terr Cain they did make their r-360 and r-380 series over seas. The first generation of those was manufactured by Yamaha and then finished in the US in the 1960s. These are really pretty nice drums. The 1980s generation ones are.... bad. This dynasonic however, is absolutely real (aside from the parts he mentioned) and is a rare bird at 6.5 instead of 5.

Me: 5 Snares: DW Design Series Nickel over Brass 14 X 6.5 [my favorite}; pdp Concept Maple 14 X 5.5 (came with the PDP 6 Drum Kit I purchased Used last year); DW concept Maple Black Wax 10 X 6.5 Popcorn : Mapex 13 X 3.5 Piccolo ; and a Griffin 13 X 3.5 Piccolo. Except for the Mapex Snare and the DW Popcorn , I replaced the Batter snare heads with Evans HD Dry heads. Stock wires used on all the drums. They all produce "different" sounds. I play solely as a Hobbyist in Retirement (70 YO), and have set up my kit to include playing either the PDP or the DW as my main snare, mount the Popcorn snare on my Hi Hat stand, and either he Mapex or the Griffin as a side snare off the kit. Allows me to add some "spice" when I play to MY MUSIC. My observations : the Pdp Maple, the DW Brass snare, and the Griffin with the HD Dry heads produce the most pleasing sound ( no mics or EQs), to me in my Finished and acoustically untreated Basement. With The Mapex, I use the stock head (Remo UC coated); the DW Popcorn snare has a stock Remo coated that is wearing - just purchased a Remo Controlled sound with center dot head that I will install to see the sound difference. The Piccolo and popcorn snares do add some Flare to the sound as I roll around them for some Fills, especially in the Latin Rock (Santana) plays. Happy Drumming to All. I guess Variety is the Spice To Life.

E-Tube 315 I have 1 Mendini snare. I started playing about a year and 4 months ago. Actually I have made out standing progress. I play everyday. It sounds egotistical but really I have made crazy progress. I can do blast beats faster than a few metal drummers. I just got a double bass pedal about 3 weeks ago and I can already go about 16th notes of like 70 bpm. I can play lots of slipknot songs and lots of grunge and rock songs. I actually also got an invitation to Rick Allen’s drum school because my dads coworker is Rick Allen’s Aunt. It sounds like a lie but I will probably upload a video on my KZbin Channel which will be my first video.
