Team reports on the U21s and U18s of high profile clubs in each country is a great method. Then create a view so you can see the whole team's current and potential star rating, and follow up with scout reports on the best ones. Then season by season you can just highlight and update the scout reports on the ones you've not scouted before.

Tried and tested is going through all the international teams and: Scout everyone under 22 in the main team. Scout everyone under 19 in the U21s. Scout everyone under 18 in the U20s and other youth teams. Amazing how often you find stars because theyve got U21 caps at 16 or full caps at 17 or 18.

I've got one scouting question I still can't find the answer to; If I have a scout with more than one assignment or with one assignment that has more than one country/competition in it, do they scout them all at the same time or do they only scout one assignment / nation / competition at a time and essentially ignore the others until you tell them to stop? (Or do they move onto the next one automatically when they say the current one is complete?). Sorry to drop this on you mate, love your videos and seeing how your FM-mind works 👍🏻

why do you add, for instance, colombia to the database on top of the leagues (view only) in that nation? i tested on a save and it's stays the same, you don't get any additional players from that (at least as far the player counting goes).

Do other FM players think there is a general dearth of decent to good players CA 3.5-4.5 star players, especially at reasonable prices (not £50m+) ? I often set my recruitement focus to CA 3 stars minimum and PA 4 starts minimum and find very few players that are valued less than £30m. My chief scout sets recruitement focuses at CA 2-2.5 star minimum and PA 3-3.5 star minimum. However, I am looking to improve my squad in certain positions where the best player I have is often 2.5 starts in CA.

Unzip the download file somehwere you can access - now add the files in the 'player search' folder to your 'shortlists' folder in Documents/Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\shortlists, in the game then go to Scouting > Shortlist tab, click on the gear icon to the right and load shortlist.

@@RDFTactics What about the other 3 .fmf files outside 'Player Search' folder? I mean 'RDF FM24 Game Setup 2024 Final v2.fmf', 'RDF Player Search Filter.fmf' and 'RDF Shortlist Filter.fmf'. Could you please tell what they're for and how to use them? P.s. I guess files inside 'Player Search' folder should be moved inside the 'filter' folder (not 'shortlists') and imported in the game using the gear icon in the bottom left of the Scouting\Players tab\Players in Range\Edit Search panel

Does recruitment focus work for you? I feel it's so broken on FM 24, I'm managing MU currently, have a lot of great scouts, I set up very broad requirements (low CA and PA, any position and age, etc.), each scout with only one assignment, and in 6 months they can't find one decent player in countries like Spain or Germany. Not sure what to do, as I don't want to scout players manually, since I'm trying to play in a realistic way (playing with Mustermann' skin),

I only started playing FM last year, im not great at it, but am really enjoying the challenge, Do you know why on Recruitment focus, after 6 weeks into my Atletico Madrid save, i have 14 scouts but they are returning back with no results at all? i have only selected 1 nation per focus , C.A at 1 and a half stars, and P.A at only 3 stars, ive selected ongoing, aged between 17-30 and selected 2 scouts per Nation? I have done several different Nations but as yet not even one recommendation? Appreciate if you can shed any light on this? Cheers.
