I usually configure the TV image to make the colors more vivid, increase the contrast and decrease the sharpness to make it less jagged, it makes it much more pleasant to play.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is such a special game to me. I can loose myself in that world, great western/shooter simulation game. The only other time I could loose myself in a world like that in recent games is in Fallout 4 where every item in the world has its utility. I wish more videogame company would take the time to make masterpiece like RDR 2.

For those of you wondering, John has the same character model as Arthur in the epilogue of red dead 2. That’s why he’s bigger there than in red dead 1. Probably a time constraint or they didn’t think it was worth it enough to code a whole new protagonist.

John is already coded as a separate character, and it has been that way since early development. NPC John is the only character in the game besides Arthur and epilogue John who has player skeleton, and shares many things with epilogue John, proving epilogue John existed for most of the main story's development. Truth is no one knows why John's correct beta model was scrapped and replaced with Arthur Marston, when they could have fixed all issues with the beta John model instead

It seems very fitting that RDR2 is more detailed and vivid looking while being set before RDR1. The graphics are more fluid and theres more to do. Its like real life, as you get older life can seem more rigid and limiting than it used to.

bifofficial2243 Although there is a 10-year difference between Rdr1 and Rdr2, Rdr1 has graphics very close to Rdr2. Rdr1 is still a game with very good graphics for today. Also, it's still fun in terms of sandbox/gameplay.

Obviously RDR2 is better in most areas. But RDR 1 was ground breaking and started the whole thing, and was still amazing for the time period that it came out. I mean it's 15yrs old and people are still playing it today. There are only a few games that have that kind of staying power. And not only that, but it's still pulling in new fans that have never even played it before. That shows its true value to gaming. And don't get me wrong, RDR2 is also ground breaking. But it's a sequel/prequel. And no matter how good it is it's still sort of a copy of the original. So in heart the first will always be special. But I do play the hell out of the second one as well. I'm literally on my tenth or eleventh playthrough on story mode... It's very rare that any game yanks me in like that.

Arthur Morgan (user-tx3vt8dp4s) Rdr1 isn't even bad compared to Rdr2. You can't call me "nostalgia blind" because I played Rdr2 before Rdr1. :)) Some features of Rdr1 are much better than Rdr2. If you've played Rdr1 and Rdr2 you know what I'm talking about. Also, Rdr1 is an excellent game for 2010. Even the graphics are still alive. Rdr1's ragdolls are awesome. When you shoot and kill an NPC, the result always differs and variety.

John from RDR 1 looks slightly "chubbier", perhaps because his body model from RDR 2 is the same as Arthur's. They wanted to make him look younger, so I don't see it as a downgrade. He looks taller on RDR 2 too.
