I enjoyed watching the Burlington Northern on 3 HO scale layouts. I’m an N scale model railroader. My model railroad is the Pacific West Coast Railroad which will. For us on the entire West Coast & all of the railroads that serve & have served the West Coast from Tijuana, Baja California Norte,Mexico all the way to Vancouver,British Columbia,Canada. It will cover from 1974 to the present. In the future I will be building my permanent layout in the garage & will be running all my trains again.

Love the detail in this model. Far more prototypical than my own, which is completely freelance. I run Santa Fe and Burlington Northern Trains on my layout, which has a twin track mainline throughout. Set in the 1950s to 1960s, I have GP50s, Sd40-2s and some F series locos. This is the greatest hobby there is. Mine is N scale and I live in the UK.

Jim Pendley’s layout is one of the best layouts I’ve ever seen. The Keddie Wye is impressive, just like the real thing.

I LOVE your photography technique; your aim at rendering scenes as real as possible is truly remarkable. Please don't get me started on the sound files used to re-create a definitely out-of-this world hearing sensation. Not begging in the proper sense of the word, but if you keep 'em coming, we will enjoy every minute of your productions.

I've been modeling the BN since getting a tyco trainset on my 11th birthday in 1980. I have concentrated on the 'funnel' in Sandpoint, Idaho and time is the mid 1970's to the early 1980's. This enables me to run pre-merger locomotives in different paint schemes. There are 40 locomotives on my layout (not counting switchers). I have 3 SD60's in demonstrator paint which is the latest addition. I'm now after the Bowser Alco C636. (2 would be nice). Layout is 30 x 15 around the walls and shares space with my other toys.

Do you live in the Pacific Northwest or just modeling the Funnel?
@stephenadams5952 жыл бұрын
@@Tracksidemodelrailroading I live in New Zealand. I stated with a tyco BN trainset in 1980. I purchased the book 'Northwest passage' by Rob Leachman which has been an invaluable source of information.

Your video's are so cool and cover so many Model Railroaders ,Layouts, Operations, and idea's. Your channel helps all of us out there that get bogged down and stumped on where to go and that it does not take much to get a railroad up and running. Question, Have you ever done George Booth's HO layout on the Great Western Railway it hauls Sugar Beets and is based out of Loveland, Co.

Great tours. Wondering if he did the Bellevue tresses on the Woodinville sub. I assume not since that didn’t make the cut, but that would be something to see.

No, he didn't model that far since this was in a small room. Brian did mention it to us though while we were filming his layout.

unique? seems to me. the pairing of model footage and real-world audio is striking and extremely well handled. BIG ASK any chance you would 'take a trip' to the UK (at some point in time...)?

We would love to in the coming years. Might take 10 years or so, lol but would be up for that.

In the first clip, we see BN 1791 (GP9). IRL, the 1791 was sold to Midsouth Rail Corp. & became MSRC 9006. I believed it was scrapped by either Midsouth or its successor KCS.

Who makes the model engines in the video?

There are too many in the video to know but Athearn, Atlas, Kato and the main ones.
