I would suggest testing before applying silicone in case you need to adjust it! Then retest after applying silicone.

Thank you for posting this, the installer didn't get the sensors colse enough together causing the system to fail.

Why use silicone AND the sticky strip. Why not use one or the other. And removing the Silicone when changing the batteries, it seems asinine to me.

this is a stupid way to attach it because it keeps falling off and I'm afraid it's going to fall off when I'm not home. Luckily it fell off when I was home.

Oi se você utilizar uma fita 3M de qualidade não cai esse sensor eu garanto a você utilizo aqui no Brasil tem que utilizar essa fita (Fita dupla face 3M Profissional). Sou profissional em alarme.

That means it wasn't mounted properly or poor adhesive was used. Make sure the sure is clean and smooth and that you hold it down for 15-30 seconds to allow the adhesion process.

We have new windows, the large sensor has to be installed upside down due to space, will that be a problem?

thanks i closed my window and accidentally slammed it and the big part of the sensor fell off but i got it back on :)

Why does it keep telling me my kitchen window is open when it really is closed?? I have to bypass the kitchen window should I take the sensor off and put it back on again?? Does anybody know?

Hello. The sensor and magnet may be off set or not close enough that's still causing an error or registering "open". Please give us a call at 1-800-238-2727, so we can troubleshoot with you further.
