On the continuity driven show tangent, I'd say Different Strokes for different folks. Some people like continuity driven shows, and some prefer shows that aren't as dependent on continuity. My whole thing is, much like what monsters and Shadow were sing I would like it if networks had a balance for both audiences instead of leaning solely toward one side and alienating the other. I do also agree with pie guy that now a days with the internet, if anyone liked a particular show and they wanted to see more of it, they would look for it on Hulu and Netflix, or Amazon and iTunes, or even KZbin, so missing the TV broadcast, to the viewer, wouldn't be a huge loss. But networks still rely on TV ratings so I try and see a show when it first airs to support the show so that it stays relevant to the network.

I still say Black Hat himself wouldn't been the true star of the crossover and nothing wouldn't truly changed a bit. here some examples: #1: Black Hat Is easily too overpowered from his previous shorts, commercial, and hosting most of the files on most of his fellow "villains". #2: He would've easily toke over CN City with or without the help of Dr. Flug but truly would've covered It with his pure evilness. #3: One of the heroes has a hard time tying you outbeat Black Hat at his own game except Raven being the other strongest of the crew and would've token crew of Black Hat herself. #4: Black Hat may have lost the battle but didn't loose the war completely and still make his escape for his next plan In mind for his revenge or already got something he came for earlier ago. #5: Dr. Flug by "Accident" get left behind only for his true evilness against Black Hat to truly rise while still blends In with the crowd but still experiment under everyone noses. When I first saw Golly's Statue laughing at his pitty, I laughed even harder when the almighty Black Hat himself got turned Into a statue but did made me wonder how he truly lost to Strike that easily cause no way he woudln't lost on purpose that easily or has one of his other statures lying around to fake his frozen solid state with the others. But hey at least It's truly better then how Infinite Is truly Is behind the mask but still curious what Black Hat' weakness truly Is and how to beat him easily. But trust me I still got my eye mostly on Dr. Flug's true attentions just you wait for the next file videos. But seriously though where do you think Black Hat normally get most of those files from and no way he coudln't time travelled either just to screw both the heroes and his fellow villains for his own amusement and maybe It might be cannon If Black Hat used to live In CN City as a nobody until other picked on him Inspiring him to become more malicious then ever Imagined and build his way to the top where he Is today and still planning for more world domination and other takeovers!

1:44:06 yeah sorry, I completely disagree with you. The grim adventures of KND had way better fanservice than the OK KO nexus. In Nexus, if you replace the heroes of past shows with generic superheroes, nothing really changes. Besides the main 4, nobody else has a presence in the episode, and you don´t even see all the characters get un-stoned. Grim adventures of KND puts the main 2 shows with all of their characters up front and has them being important to the crossover. Nexus only had the main 4 and didn´t mix their own shows. And while yes, there are voiceless cameos in GRIM KND, at least we can see them be absorbed at the end for a big awesome fight, instead of just seeing them in stones and never seeing them again. Plus, the ed edd n eddy scene alone has that special do way more with other properties than nexus does. Nexus had good references, but it suffered for being 11 minutes and only making the main 4 characters relevant. And even then, like you guys said, they didn´t really interact with each other that well except Steven and Garnet. It was a nice effort from Ian and his crew but it wasn´t enough to make it great. This isn´t really the crew´s fault because if you go to Ian´s twitter you can see what they planned for 22 minutes, and that idea could have potentially been better than GRIM KND, but it was scrapped. The only really memorable thing in Nexus was the cartoon cartoon punch. But while that was one scene, GRIM KND as a whole was amazing.} TLDR: Watch GRIM KND again. It was great.

The Grim Adventures of the KND was trash because: 1) The story is stupid and it's full of unexplain plot holes (Example: Why are there many charactes from KND living in Endsville? How is Billy able to fit on his father's pants?) 2) Everyone (except Numbuh 1 (even thought he's a punching bag in this crossover), Numbuh 5 and Grim) are TERRIBLY unlikable: -Billy is annoying, selfish and responsible for everything. -Harold is way grumpy. -Mandy is present as power hungry villian who (you guessed it!) gets off scot-free by the ending. -Most of the Kids Next Door characters are dumb idiots who mistake Mandy for Numbuh 1 and (you also guessed it!) NEVER apologies to either Numbuh 1 or even Numbuh 5. -Numbuh 2 briely gets enough screen time. -The Delightful Childern are useless and if wasen't for the Delightful Grim, they server no reason to be here. 3) *ATROCIOUS* ending: Mandy gets off scot-free and Harold (who got into the KND basement randomly) mistakes Numbuh 1 for Billy and takes him to punised him without someone (not even Grim or Numbuh 5, you know, the ONLY smart characters in the special) helping. The Grim Adventures of the KND sucks, Crossover Nexus was WAY better then that piece of trash. BTW: This took like 15 minutes to write this comment.

Steven and Amethyst would make the best romantic couple, They have developed such a strong and deep romantic connection to each other but they just haven't acknowledged their romantic feelings for each other yet Amethyst and Steven have a similarity in that they’re both a strange kind of Gem who’s only known Earth. Rebecca says at this point Steven really knows everything there is to know about Amethyst, almost, while Garnet and Pearl are more guarded about the vast amount of their history he does not know. Amethyst was the only one of the 3 Crystal Gems to have opened up to him as early as “Tiger Millionaire,” She has nothing to hide from him and he has nothing to hide from her, They trust each other more than any other people they have ever known, And she’s changed the most from the beginning of the show because of her bond with Steven. Amethyst representing the present, changing right along with Steven, makes sense, when balanced against Pearl with so much of the past she can’t reveal and Garnet being ahead of everything, focused on what’s going on in her own mind (which makes it hard to even talk to her). Amethyst finds the most safeness and comfort when being close to Steven, He completes her and she completes him, Both the advantages of freedom and the disadvantages of lack of structure manifested in Amethyst. Steven didn’t want Amethyst to have restrictions of the Gem society they rejected, They both protect each other from experiencing the troubling situations that threatens them with each of their passing days, Meeting Steven inspired the growth for Amethyst where she can understand where she’s from and can CHOOSE the flexibility she embodies, rather than having that be a symptom of floundering. Now she’s developed the freedom to define herself as the kind of Quartz she wants to be, having seen the options and what her society of origin would have wanted her to be. When Amethyst was comparing herself to Jasper and feeling inferior as she scrambled for identity, Steven was there to assure her that behind her back he was the one who saw value in her and in return she saw value in him Smoky Quartz’s first appearance was born out of a low point for Steven and Amethyst. They bonded over both not being good enough-being the worst. So Smoky represented them reaching for each other’s help, and being willing to do that when you need to. Even though the episode "Steven Vs Amethyst" was a source of tension between Amethyst and Amethyst, it also represents where they bonded and got a new start, Amethyst in the past she wouldn’t have had the emotional resources to help someone who’s suffering, especially when connecting it to a place she has such a complicated relationship with, but after meeting Steven she has learned she’s allowed to be proud of where she came from, she’s found enough strength to know how to help ground others. Amethyst feels complete in her life by staying by the side of Steven, While they are together they complete one world, Their world as a whole :)

The Juicy Jedi jester, Of course there isn't any direct romantic interactions between Steven and Amethyst, I'm pointing out romantic signs and hints and implications that Steven and Amethyst relationship could possibly be leading to a romantic relationship, There is a difference, Let's talk about the romantic implications in Steven and Amethyst relationship shown in the show: In the episode "Earthlings" it has also been shown that they share a kindred spirit as fellow "worst Gems" who, in Steven's words are "not like anybody". When once again outclassed by Jasper and ready to give up, Amethyst is touched by Steven's words of support, taking his hand and hugging him which causes them to fuse for the first time to become Smoky Quartz. The whole Proud Failure bit is really brilliant, she doesn't want some genius Gem, she wants him because he's what she wants to be, a Proud Failure rather than just a Failure. Amethyst works as hard as anyone, she's not weak from lack of effort, she works hard following his example and is still weak, she still can't match up... But she, like him believes one day she'll be strong. What lies in Steven and Amethyst relationship is a golden feeling which makes them aware that they are accepted as they are. All of their defects, incapability, drama, nuisance, sarcasm, are acknowledged, respected(in that humiliating manner), and tolerated in all forms. While Steven and Amethyst as individuals are good friends, they find similarity in themselves in some form or the other. This gives a mindset that they are equals and there's nothing to be proud or ashamed of in front of him/her. An individual is completely himself/herself among his friend's company. This brings out the originality of the person in all terms. This awesome feeling of being one's self is what makes their friendship so great. Relationships according to Steven and Amethyst is best defined as a time when you feel a person who's turning to be ‘your' world. The day that person feels you to be their world. And your journey out to the time when you make these two different worlds into one. They both become their world. A world of you two. The longer they are best friends. The more they know about each other. The more they can understand each other. Then they eventually fall in love with each other because they see and understand that they are the only one's meant for each other in a romantic way, Because no other person in their life was dedicated enough to see them grow despite them being weak and defective and worthless to everyone around them, So that helped them understand that they found the one person who accepted them the way they are then their relationship turns romantic later on, Then they fall in love and will be forever bonded as the lovers they were meant to be, And that's the kind of relationship Steven and Amethyst have which is why they are more than able to develop a romance with each other. And I do hope that in the near future and I hope Rebecca Sugar decides to take their relationship to the next level, StevenXAmethyst for ever. :)

Shrek The Ogre, Steven and Amethyst have had some deep moments that are more akin to romantic love than merely a Brother-Sister relationship, If Rebecca Sugar really did made Steven and And Amethyst have a Brother and Sister relationship then it must be a incest one, Because what kind of "Sister" Flirts with her "Brother" And what kind of "Sister" wants to marry her "Brother" ? But no she didn't say any of that she was clearly shown to be 100% ok with the Idea of marrying Steven Which means Amethyst wasn't against the Idea of getting romantically involved with Steven :) In the Episode "A Indirect Kiss" Steven begins by telling Connie how the story begins with himself watching Amethyst, one of the Crystal Gems, playing around near the edge of a cliff. This episode CLEARLY highlights that Steven and Amethyst have a relationship and see each other beyond the realm of a Brother-Sister esque relationship To define, Steven and Amethyst type of Romantic Love is where you know each other, where both can comprehend each other’s silence, where you can read each other’s face, where you care unconditionally, where you always want to see them smile and all you want is happiness for them no matter what the cost is. Replace Love in above paragraph with Friendship, and the whole paragraph will still make complete sense And that's the kind of relationship Steven and Amethyst have which is why they are more than able to develop a romance with each other. And I do hope that in the near future and I hope Rebecca Sugar decides to take their relationship to the next level, StevenXAmethyst for ever. :)

Steven deserves to be with someone better than Connie who betrayed him, She turned her back on him and ignored him like he didn't even exist, Sure Amethyst and Steven have had fights in the past but at least Amethyst was always there to call him out on his mistakes and Steven stayed by her side to call out hers, Connie completely turned her back on him and abandoned him the FIRST time they had a disagreement, Amethyst would NEVER turn her back on Steven and Steven would NEVER turn his back on Amethyst, All this helped me understand why Amethyst is a better match for Steven than Connie could ever be because Steven and Amethyst work their problems out together while Connie runs away from them like a coward and that's not a good trait to have in a romance when your significant other is not willing to stay with you when times get hard Lets talk about how Connie betrayed Steven in the episodes "Gemcation" and "Kevin Party" Sorry if it's a little long but it makes sense: Well, I'm Starting To Get Annoyed With Connie. Like, Getting All Wound Up Because Your Best Friend, Let Me Add, Only Friend, Sacrificed Himself To Some Space Alien Gems For Something His Mother Did, Knowing He Could End Up Getting Seriously Hurt, Dead, Worried, And Stressed, All For Your Safety? Be A Little More Happy. If I Was Steven I Would Have Been Like, ``Oh, I'm Sorry I Didn't Drag You To Space With Me To Attempt To Fight Two Of The Huge, Giant, Magical And Powerful Leaders Of ALL THE GEMS CREATED. To Try To Get Us Both Killed Because My Mum Destroyed Their Best Friend, So I SHOULDN'T HAVE EVEN BEEN THERE, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY MOTHER! So I'm Sorry I Didn't Lug You To Space To Essentially Die. Next Time Tell Me Before You Have A Death Wish So I Can Fullfil It. I Thought You Being My Best Friend Would Actually Care That I Made It Home. Her reason for ignoring his texts were essentially "It's contradictory to say 'I don't want to talk right now' because that's talking!" Don't forget that she made only ONE attempt to talk to him in person. He's been back for a while, Connie...She should have been able to tell by all the "Missing Lion" posters, too. These episodes really made me hate Connie. She seems like a really typical, self-centered teen girl. How about an apology for putting poor Steven through all this he did nothing wrong except sacrifice himself to save you and everyone else and also apologize for being selfish and mean to the poor boy I mean stealing the only way Steven could even contact Lars on another planet seriously, Steven could have been getting him food and supplies and helping his parents get better if you hadn't stolen lion like you did yeah I heard what her reason why, that's why I think she becomes stupid all of the sudden, and she did ignore him, she could easily had wrote "Steven I don't know what to said to you, let's better talk in person", before he left, it was that easy, that's why I'm extremely disappointed in Connie, I mean yeah Steven is so clueless sometimes but what Connie expected? that Steven just keep being depressed over her stupidy and keep waiting forever for her without doing nothing else? pfffff come on... he was already sad enough, there are things that are ways important that she being butt hurt for a very stupid reason, more because her friend just came back, great way to show how her "feelings" are, ignoring her friend when a miracle happened and he just came back to her safe and sound, and yeah I know I have an unpopular opinion here, but i find Connie's melodrama absolutely pathetic and unnecessary, a real burden. to be honest I’ve lost a LOT of respect for Connie. She’s so self obsessed, steven was only looking out for her. I really really liked Connie and I hated Kevin but I’m having mixed thoughts on the two of them. I think the same, I'm so disappointed in here... I mean it was necessary she became that loser and start melodrama? really? with Homewolrd about to go to earth and start another war? honestly. I mean sure, jam buds is a big deal. but Connie has no business with homeworld. SHE could’ve been the one in Lars’ situation. yeah, I mean Lars actually DIED.... can you imagine that? that instead of Lars it could be Connie the ones who resulted death!? that's messed up, they were just NOT ready to fight in homeworld, not Connie not the Crystal gems... they could be all shattered..... so I think Steven took the right decision in here. Connie’s just being self obsessed and dramatic. I hate ConnieXSteven pairing so much this season. Particularly Connie. They actually made Kevin look like a sympathetic character. Steven isn't the moral decider in life. We shouldn't side with his opinion all the time, even if everything is through his perspective only. There was literally nothing else to do in that situation but give himself up. Connie couldn't do ANYTHING to fight back, she was just a useless in that situation as Steven was, yet she's complaining as if she's important enough to solve these conflicts with homeworld. Steven was especially stupid for prioritizing Connie over Lars not only being in mortal danger, but him knowing enough about Steven's movements on homeworld (and possibly being captured and interrogated) would put Steven and the earth in danger. Not to mention he did try to treat what happened in homeworld like it wasn't a big deal, despite Connie, Greg and the gems being worried for him. Neither of them were 100% right in the case, but is was unfair to only have Steven apologize. I still don't understand why Connie didn't apologise to Steven too. That's honestly kind of a bad message tbh, I don't now what they were thinking when they wrote this. The two should be at a mutual understanding, but it's all Steven throwing himself at her telling him how sorry he is. Which is fine, if Steven feel like he should apologise then he should, but Connie has wronged Steven plenty since he got back too. Also, considering everything Steven been through, isn't it plausible to think that he might not be the most susceptible to other people's problems right now? I know Connie hasn't seen everything Steven has, but she could at least make an effort, just like Steven did right here. Connie didn't even thank him for his sacrifice, whether she agrees with it or not, he still did it out of love for her and the others but that just gets pushed aside here. I honestly have no clue if the team really handled Steven and Connie's relationship this badly by accident, or they felt they had to include one of those obligatory 'They need to be upset with each other now just.... because!' It wastes time and I really don't feel like anyone with a relationship as strong as Steven and Connie's would be pissed at them for THAT long. Maybe a little bit but this took up almost the entire Steven Bomb and it was so cringeworthy, because you know they were going to be friends again in a few episodes anyway. There was no tension, nothing at stake, it was a badly-written waste of time. Steven is seemed to way more mature than Connie after all his encounters with Homeworld Gem. By the way, Steven once against is not your fault, Connie doesn't seem to understand the magnitude of Homeworld power Promises can't always be kept all the time. If they were so helpless in the abduction episode, imagine them in the 2 Gem War or facing off against one or two or all the Diamonds. Connie and Steven may not be able to face it together, in a previous episode, Connie's mom did say that she would take Connie away from a battle that would be in way over her head. Anyway! I hope I articulated myself well enough! :) Sorry if this is a little long-winded. I am still enjoying these episodes overall, just wish this situation was handled differently. After Steven experienced this with Connie, I hope he can compare his relationship with Amethyst and and his relationship Connie and finally figure out who truly loves him romantically and will stay by his side no matter what :)

I feel like they wanted to address the "Steven feels so guilty about his mom" plot line and they wanted it to look like a foolish self-sacrifice but they made the situation look too grim for the effect to take place. They going for Steven acts with no regard for his life because of guilt and Connie feels betrayed that gives up. It seemed more of a flaw in how they thought their audience would receive the story then they set out to make Connie look bad. Then all the time in between and the excuse being weak didn't help. It's annoying because I saw what they were going for but the result was something completely different.

parasite fusioner, Well Connie is indeed destroying something and that is the Steven Universe fan base as a whole, Connie's character and existence has caused divisiveness among the Steven Universe fan base the fans causing them to argue and debating about whether Steven should stay with Connie or should he dump her and stay single due to Connie's toxicity and the stress she is causing Steven, Because Connie was being selfish in that Aquamarine situation, I've been sitting on this for a while, but frankly all this criticism of Steven's behavior after the drama on home world is really missing the mark. So, I've decided to weigh in. Consider what just happened to Steven prior to his return: 1. His friends were being stalked and kidnapped by a pair of gems, one of which was particularly powerful. Not even Alexandrite, a powerful fusion of 4* gems, was a match for her. Aquamarine defeated her with barely an effort. If it hadn't been for his willing sacrifice, his dearest friends would have been lost. 2. He was put on trial by the two of the most powerful gems in existence (and not to mention the implied threat of White) as a consequence. His life, and Lars', was in the balance. He expected the worse - death. 3. They only got away because the two sisters were distracted as they bickered amongst themselves. 4. They were being chased by dangerous autonomous drones with deadly weapons. They only managed to escape because Rutile got to them just in time. 5. They were discovered nonetheless and it took the ultimate sacrifice by Lars to save them. 6. Steven brought Lars back to life, but he had no idea he even had that ability before it happened; as far as he knew, Lars was dead. Try and imagine, just for a moment, what a major mindfuck that was for Steven. 7. It was only Lars' tree space connection to Lion's tree space that allowed him to return to Earth at all. When Steven left, he was - at a minimum - leaving Earth forever and seriously expected to die. He had no reason to think otherwise. He laid down his life for Connie, the gems and, possibly, all of Beach City. There was no way Connie could have helped, not even as Stevonnie. They were severely over matched by the home world threat. It was only dumb luck that he survived at all. He did what he did to save her life - literally. He took the metaphorical bullet meant for her. And how is he thanked? Poor little Connie's feelings are hurt. How sad for her that Steven risked everything to save her life but had to leave her and the rest behind in order to do so. Yeah. Cry me a river why don't you. She's frankly a petulant, ungrateful child. She would not be around to whine if Steven hadn't done what he did. But she can't see past her own emotions to appreciate what just happened. Connie lives in a fantasy world. She's the one that planted the idea of him having a magical destiny in his mind and she actually believes that because Pearl has been teaching her some fighting skills, she's some kind of Kung Fu master now. No, she isn't. And, no, Steven isn't dismissing the danger he was in nor is he blowing off the concern and worry the Crystal Gems (as well as Greg and all the others) have. He's trying to reassure them. Home world has no idea where he is right now and there is no reason for them to think to look for him on Earth. That may occur to them eventually, but it's going to be awhile. There's nothing they could do about it in any event. Worrying fixes nothing and just makes it worse. Once again, Steven is putting others ahead of his own needs. He needs to process this, but there is no one (except, maybe, Greg) who he can confide in and let out his own fears and dread. Instead, he's trying to make it easier for them. So, yeah - I think the criticism directed towards Steven is misplaced.

Ronquixote D. III, Well The episode "Kevin Party" was just terrible in terms of messages. Especially when it just comes to Connie's character. It pushes so much emphasis on how she feels and completely disregards Stevens and she goes about it in such a tantrum kind of way and as usual the issue is resolved in a Steven Universe where Steven just takes all the blame and everyone else is in the right. Connie was an ignorant and selfish person, meanwhile Stevens like "Oh hey, I can save the Earth and keep you all safe!" Steven has always been this naive but selfless person... Yet Connie, in my eyes, has always been this selfish character who cares more about her motives and what outcomes she wants regardless of others. The message i got from this was "just throw a temper tantrum for 3 weeks and eventually they will grovel before you like a wimp" I honestly feel like this whole arc was handled incorrectly. Both Steven and Connie were right and wrong in different ways. The way they reacted just felt so out of character. Steven should have understood how Connie felt and Connie should have been more reasonable in knowing there was no way to win in that situation. To me, this whole thing felt like a forced conflict that should have been solved in a few minutes rather than dragged into 4 episodes. I don't see Connie, as we've known her, ignoring Steven for 3 weeks, especially considering how she reacted when he ignored her for half a day. She's intelligent enough to understand that her hurt isn't the main issue and that Steven needed support. I also don't see Steven not getting that Connie is hurt, even if he's compartmentalizing to deal with his own feelings. Even after the whole deal with Bismuth, he was still careful enough to consider how the Gems would feel and give them the time to deal with that. The thing for me is people keep saying Connie was upset because he didn't try to fuse or talk the decision over with her........aquamarine had a 4 gem fusion frozen in its tracks plus back up, stevonnie wasn't going to do anything even if they somewhere could form her. On top of, connie and the humans were in the ocean and Steven was like 100-200 feet in the air with 3 gems between him and everyone else, he can't just yell down his entire thought process down to her and her alone to make sure she's cool with his plan. He was in a tough situation and he had to quickly make a decision. If Connie wants to be upset because they couldn't do anything to stop it, fine. But being hurt because "you didn't even try to fight with me/form stevonnie/tell me you were going to make that decision (that he made on the fly mid combat)" is ridiculous and, as people have said, childish yeah again the writers have a serious problem of forgetting things about the characters and story (side note how does the hourglass time machine fit into this fucking world and the gem empire) and now thinking about it if alexandrite when she came into picture and was holding the ship justed broke it or pierced it this hole thing wouldn't have happened, I feel the problem is now less about what could happen and more the writers need set some system up for remembering and still see your point though but still respectably side more towards Steven because it was a most likely irresponsible choice in an extraneous/panicked situation so wrong choices are still justifiable but I do see we're you're coming from They did treat Connie’s hurt feelings too significantly. Now it sucks Connie got hurt and I see (sort of although I think it’s more of a childish tantrum than anything like you said) but Steven was thinking of the greater good. Aquamarine and topaz were a much bigger threat than anything they’d ever faced and if they HAD taken them on, sorry but they would have lost and Connie would have been abducted as well resulting in even more complications. Instead Lars being a zombie stuck in space, CONNIE could be a zombie stuck in space. Like you said it’s as if the crewniverse made Connie OOC specifically for this plot. Because maybe I’m underestimating her, but I think our typical Connie would understand just how grave the threat they’re up against is. For god sake they planted the equivalent of a nuclear bomb in the earths core that would have completely whipped out humanity. I love Stevonnie but honey their skills ain’t no where NEAR there yet "I can only hope Connie's mother, Priyanka, hears about this and sits her daughter down and straightens her out about making hard decisions. Priyanka is a doctor who routinely works the hospital emergency room. She fully understands what it is to make high stakes decisions with limited resources and critical time windows." Actually, with what kind of shitty decision making that Connie displayed here towards Steven, Priyanka's attitude in that one episode, Nightmare Hospital, makes a ton of sense. Priyanka did mention that Connie often goes way in over her head and sometimes she needs to step in to pull her from her bad decisions. I thought Dr. Maheswaran was too smothering, but seeing how Connie acted and reacted to a potentially life-threatening situation, I now give the doctor more credit. After all, she knows Connie more.
