I know I'm in the minority here, but Omniverse is probably my favorite of the 4 series, with the classic series being a very close second. That being said, I feel like Ben 10,000 (the classic episode) works best as just a general self contained story, so its got my vote as best of the bunch

I was really interested about the What If? Disney question, and mine would be what if The Emperor’s New Groove was made as the more serious and frantic movie it was supposed to be? For those of you that don’t know, the movie was supposed to be called Kingdom of the Sun. It was supposed to be more like the other Disney movies at the time and featured a younger Pacha that was supposed to have a Prince and the Pauper situation, Cuzco was supposed to be called King Manco, Pacha was voiced by Owen Wilson, and Ezma was supposed to summon an Incan god of death to block out the sun to regain her youth. Ezma’s villain song however made it into the New Groove soundtrack.

Comedic shows with lore/continuity woven in are my cup of tea. When a show can make an entertaining episode and have lore in the background to create interest, I find it easier to get into. Once the lore overtakes the comedy (in a show that started out as mostly comedic), it becomes overwhelming to have to keep up with and I mainly watch them through spoilers because I don't have the time to watch 50-100+ episodes to understand what's going on. I don't watch a lot of shows but when I do, it's nice to casually watch something and let myself relax.

I'll take this over the recent Ben 10 (2016) reboot nowadays and still waiting for that spin-off of Ben 1000 OR a spiritual successor.

TBH the reboot isn't all that bad, though S1 basically did nothing. I haven't watched much of S2, but what I've seen, it really seems to be a step up. I'm not trying to say it's amazing or anything, but it certainly isn't a half bad reboot in my books.

When it comes to Eon, that seemed to be Dwayne McDuffie's own, wrong, interpretation of lines Eon said in the first live action movie when he was transforming Ben into a clone of himself. It doesn't even remotely make sense if you paid attention to the movie, especially since, when Ben gets transformed into him, we SEE his face & he has a British accent for no reason, so he CAN'T be an alternate Ben. Unless they were trying to say that the Ben from that movie tried to transform into Eon again, then Eon overwhelmed him & their personalities & bodies merged or something, but they never explained it. Not even in Omniverse.

Something interesting about when I viewed the show as a kid I never knew about the episode Ben 10,000 and only saw the future with the episode Ken 10. I was REALLY confused by Ben 10k returns especially since I didn’t see race against time. (My parents took me camping that weekend. I was pretty mad at the time but watching this film now.... they did me a favor)

I personally like both shows that have a strong emphasis on lore, and more casual feel good kinds of shows that don't require a huge understanding of The lore to watch. Everyone has their own preference of show, so I don't think the reviews thing is a problem, as long as they're not shaming anybody for liking one form of show over the other, then it's fine. But I can understand why some feel like not enough reviewers talk about the more casual viewing type of shows.

my problem with ultimate ben 10,000 was just I feel like it was inconsistent with the way ultimate forms worked. Like the ultimate forms are supposed to be evolved versions of the species, but ultimate ben doesn't look like an evolved human.

The reason why I don't like the Omniverse episode because some things don't make sense the bomb also disintegrates albedo who was also in the fight even though he's not a Ben also George Washington is the founder of the plumbers seriously!!
