Thank you for this. Made me cry. 😢 2 weeks pp today and had the same experience, high normal bp until 3rd trimester and then postpartum preeclampsia. Just got out of 2nd hospitalization where I was on magnesium yesterday and I’m home alone with 2 kids and a newborn. No help. Can’t afford to order out or get oven meals currently let alone stay resting longer than 15 mins. I’m exhausted and so sick.

@ I am 7 months pp and returning to work next week. I’ve been monitored by a pre-e program all this time after pre-e with severe features delivered my son at 32 weeks. My bp is still not regulated and the way you described the strange dizziness and fatigue is how I feel from day to day. Sometimes I think I feel okay and I get a little motivated by that but then it spikes again and I get anxiety every time I take my BP.

@@susiesullivan7095 I’m so sorry you’re still experiencing this and having to return to work. Given that it sounds like yours was more severe than mine your body probably needs more time. It was a solid year before I really started to feel like myself and workout etc and now at 17 mos I really feel pretty good majority of the time with occasional unwell moments here and there (nothing I need treatment for just take a rest) even though bp is technically normal but higher for me. Most of my friends have echoed the sentiment of 2 years before feeling like their “old self”. The nurse that encouraged me said she eventually recovered after first child but after second has needed medication ever since but she did get back to a “new normal” where she’s doing well now with the medication. I’m sending you lots of love as you continue your healing journey. Our bodies went through a LOT for almost a years’ time and just as incredible as they are to create life they can also heal 🌺 I felt so defeated reading all these stories of people being “better” after a few weeks or months and never seeing anyone say “hey, it can actually take half a year or a year or more- it won’t always be like this!” Food was definitely the one thing that would get me- I accidentally ate something high in sodium and I remember that night being in urgent care and feeling unwell for days! I really liked this meal plan and still make some of the things in case you might want to try 💝 www.eatingwell.com/article/7963974/diabetes-meal-plan-for-high-blood-pressure/#toc-diabetes-friendly-foods-to-focus-on-for-high-blood-pressure

@@lanarose2134 I’m so sorry you’re going through such a difficult time right now- I am glad that you found my channel and story - it was meant for you! I would watch the videos I found on KZbin about postpartum preeclampsia and everyone got well much faster than I did so I felt even more defeated not seeing anyone recover farther out. While I certainly hope you recover as quickly as possible please don’t be discouraged if it takes awhile. 💝 Sending you SOOO much love 💕 and encouragement during your healing journey and CONGRATS on your little one!

How long did you stay on medications
@naliyahkaya3 ай бұрын
Hi @lanarose2134 I looked at my calendar and the last notation indicates about 4.5 months. It became more intermittent as time went on from everyday to maybe once a week then 1-2x a month and then finally it eventually stabilized around January of this year (son was born Aug. 2023). The dosage was also dropped and I was told to take as needed during that timeframe, but had to be careful it didn't "tank me" as my body started to adjust and heal I could have a high night take one and then be at 90/60 so I started having to pay really close attention and make calls on if I truly needed it as sometimes my BP would be normal in the morning. I hope this is encouraging to you and that you are continuing to heal! Always happy to answer questions :) 💝

Have you had visual disturbance while postpartum preeclampsia (hard to focus, sensitive into light, etc) how long it will be heal? Now i am on that situation 😢

@@MartabakManis-n8o I’m sorry you’re experiencing this and I hope you recover soon! 💝. I definitely did during the magnesium treatment in hospital- unable to focus etc. I still have black eye floaters those started during pregnancy and haven’t left but I believe may be due to dehydration as I’m not getting enough water. Throughout pregnancy I also had eye changes which they say are “normal” - such as thinking I forgot my contacts because things weren’t focused but I did have them in. After birth I had very dry eyes irritated- I saw eye doctor and they didn’t find anything and told me hydration and eye drops. The dry itching eyes subsided but as mentioned still have black eye floaters. I started to get better from the postpartum preeclampsia slowly and was fully off meds at 5 months postpartum - about a year out I felt normal and now my son is 15 mos old and I have all my energy and have been back working out in gym boxing etc. the past few months. I do still notice my eyes are off but not sure what to make of it since eye exam was okay. I may go again soon. I never thought I would get better but little by little over time you can. Lots of rest when possible and healthy foods walks anything that is not too hard on you. In the beginning just going to living room was exhausting then going to one store all my energy gone for whole day finally you heal though 😊 Sending you lots of well wishes!

@@naliyahkaya thank youu!! ❤️ Anyway i’d like to know, during your recovery (5 months), Did your dizziness go away as your blood pressure dropped? I felt dizzy, weak almost everyday 🥺😭 i feel scared this won't go away
@naliyahkayaАй бұрын
@ once the blood pressure stabilized it did. I felt that way whenever my blood pressure spiked so as I started to get better the episodes lessened. It went from every day to every few days to maybe every week then every few weeks etc. Then sometimes it might happen two days in a row then not for a couple weeks. I too felt like it would never stop but keep eating well sleeping doing whatever exercise is okay for you and lots of water. Time is really the only thing that worked for me. Also try not to compare how long it takes you. I was getting upset that everyone got better more quickly and thought I would not because it had been so many months of it. 💝 It may help to keep a log of your blood pressure and food. For example I started to notice a pattern that almost always when I felt dizzy or lightheaded my lower BP number was high 70s or above. Even though normal BP is considered 120/80 and doctors were telling me it was okay to be in 130s/low 80s my body feels sick if the lower number is over like 75- my family has low blood pressure so I feel best UNDER 120/75 even if the top number climbs if the bottom one stays low I won’t feel sick. This helped me to see patterns of when I didn’t feel well and also if I ate something with high salt that caused it. I still sometimes feel a tad dizzy or off but then when I check BP it’s usually because lower number is in higher 70s and also if I don’t get enough sleep. It gets better!
