The best version of this song was sung by the bass voice for Tony The Tiger (They're Great), that was released in the mid-50's by Disney records. Yes the fim is the original, but most of us grew up listening to the record by the Disney singers...................can't find it posted yet, but just you wait.................I'm Mike Fink...............King of the River!!!

The character is Moose, acted by Irvin Ashkenazy, the voice might have been done by Candy Candido in this segement but I can't seem to find him credited in this movie.

This video has become very popular at my work place; as I am a real life, legitimate, Mike Fink (in name only...Im no king of the river). Its been a blessing and a curse...proves my "claim to fame" prior to the videos discovery, while also leading me to hear coworkers sing "Im Mike Fink" when I walk into the shop.

Doesn't it look to you like the boat is going a LOT faster than the guys with the poles are pushing it? There is a kinda suspicion of a prop wash coming out of the back too! The hull is remarkably smooth - evidently not built of wood! Did they have fibreglass back then?
