Obviously Val's work here was amazing, but I'd like to call attention to how Michael Biehn has an incredible knack for acting in a way that contours perfectly to his fellow cast member . It's hard to describe what I mean, but he doesn't just shoehorn himself into the scenes. Every scene he does with Val stands out even more because of how he reacts to Doc.

Well for Hollywood standards it was good - Still doesn't accurately depict that Johnny Ringo wasn't killed by Doc Holliday although the film attempted to make it look like it.
@rmstitanic81632 жыл бұрын
@@Quint1975 but in reality, it's not accurately known whether Ringo killed himself or was shot by someone else. But the fact that he had threatened to kill himself on a few occasions, and the that the last person to have seen him alive said that he was very drunk, does seem to point at suicide. But I'm sure Doc, or Earp would have happily of done Ringo had they had the opportunity.

There will never be another, Val Kilmer landed the role that he was made for in Tombstone. The whole cast in this movie is great without a doubt, but Kilmer was the example of what an Oscar should mean. That's okay, just like the Emmy and Pulitzer Prize, these once shining monuments no longer hold the luster they once had. Kilmer's better than an Oscar.

Val Kilmer's standout performance is all the more amazing when you consider just how good everyone else was. All of the main cast members nailed their respective roles: Kurt Russell, Dana Delaney, Sam Elliott, Powers Boothe, Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, and Stephan Lang...they all crushed it and despite that Kilmer's performance is still what we all notice first. Shows you just how good he actually was in this one!
@brianhardy5926 Жыл бұрын
I love that you mentioned Stephan Lang. Rarely is he brought up. I have continued to use his great line throughout my post-Tombstone life. "We don't go for no law dogs roun' here" Substitute current topic for "law dogs" to suit your situation. Oh. And now that I've gotten myself into a situation where I'm discussing Tombstone cast members. I didn't know Billy Bob Thornton was in the movie until I watched it about 20 times and finally recognized him. As usual, great job for Billy Bob. And since we're giving credit, yes, it's true that Val and Michael stand out in their performances, BUT, the cast gives credit to Kurt Russell for making the movie happen as it did. Without him, the production could have collapsed, and there never would have been a Tombstone.
