SIT AND KICK BABY!! This makes me so happy, because i am a newer runner and i am earning the reputation as a sit and kicker, so its good to see it actually being used well, as no one at my lever besides be does that, they just run all out from the start

One of the best things my coach ever said to me mindset wise(for xc anyway track is a different beast) is “it doesn’t matter what time you run, it matters who you beat, the time will come with it”
@AngelSanchez-123511 ай бұрын
Thats exactly the mindset I have right now, since I know that I am in great shape I don't worry about time and just race.

That guy you out kicked at the end is in my division, so for me, it was pretty hype when I saw you out kicking him. (I wasn't at the race, but I watched it live on runnersspace.)

up milage, its a little late in the season for it but I'm around that time too and I got a big jump once I hit a few 50~ mile weeks. Once your milage goes up you'll be able to run tougher and faster during speed/track workouts and thats what gets you faster. For track workouts I would try to hold a pace below your goal time to get you used to it. I feel like specifically 4 x mile with 4-5 minute rest and 16 - 20 x 400 w/ 70 seconds rest got me pretty good results. Aside from the running stuff make sure your eating enough calories to fuel your body for that extra milage. Sleep a lot too if you can. GL

@@cheeto_ssbm7826 I was at ~20mpw sophomore year and this year went up to 50-60 at my peak in early season. Go even higher for senior year?

@@sharpjet25 Going up to 65~ during the summer before senior year wouldn't be a bad idea. I would just be careful about not getting injured.
