An excellent video. I really miss my shaper. Sold it in the 90's and regretted it ever since. My next project will be hollow screw jacks.

Thanks for showing your Clarkson repair, its in good shape now for sure. Nice shaper too. I just bought a Clarkson Mk1 cheap, needs lots of work, not running .. yet, hence my interest. I can now use your method to check mine. Subscribed in case you show more Clarkson or shaper action. Thanks again.

I have a clarkson mk 1 as well which is very exciting to me, I’m using it to resharpen annular cutters but it seems to lack any provision for limiting x axis travel so I have to be careful to not nick the adjacent tooth. How did they set up stops?

Hello from Aus. If you mount an adjustable stop to the indexer mount below the table a piece of angle bolted to the top of the table that drops off the side will meet it. I found the table and work envelope too small so I made a sub table to expand it.
