Picking Kobe over AI wouldent matter the 6ers would still fail to surround kobe with the tools he would need to win a title so he would leave just like iverson did.
@voidcarbine76838 жыл бұрын
AI left because he was getting older in age and was not much of an asset to our team anymore. We let him leave and he didn't do much of anything on Denver or Detroit
@bigherf53828 жыл бұрын
Steve Smith Now wait a minute I can buy the traded him because he was old but he did great in denver but after 4 or 5 years he started declining and wasent a big factor inDetroit but kobe cares about winning so much he wanted to leave LA in 07 and kobe had 3 rings already its very possible that he would have left even earlier.
@moritaslim27038 жыл бұрын
kobe was a hard working young fella with a dream to be a champion .. where AI loves the game with an amazing talent and will give you all he have to win .. but the fact that he had problems with his ego and his discipline .. i would say kobe definitely would push the 76ers to build a team around him to win

2001 Iverson was everybody's favorite player. What that does for a franchise is huge, and I don't think anyone in Phili feels like they should've drafted anyone else. They had a better regular season record than the Lakers. 2001 Lakers. Special special player that sold out arenas.

No way the 1st Pick for Kobe would have been correct. People forget he spent like his first 3-4 years from the bench. And it was a risk because he was coming right from HS. AI was an Instant success right from the start at that time. I doubt Philly was willing to tank another 2-3 Seasons at that time to build a team like they do nowadays.
@williamcowen56588 жыл бұрын
At the time he got dealt to the Knicks Stephon Marbury was a beast. He was averaging 20 pts and 8 Rebounds so I would say having him at 10 is low. You can't blame someone for having their career fall apart after getting sent to that bum ass team... Especially when it was being run by Isaiah Thomas, which was the worst period possible for any team.

IMO Z was the better center in this draft after Ben Wallace. Foot injuries killed him but the guy was 7'3, could score in the post or from the arc (sometimes), could hit the midrange, great defender and rebounder down low and a great guy. Z meant more to Cleveland than any athlete has ever, besides maybe LeBron and Bernie kosar.

The sixers NEVER would have taken Kobe Number 1 overall.... He was not shy bout lettin it b known that he wouldnt play for anyother team then the Los Angelos Lakers even forced Charlotte in2 a trade bc he wouldve refused to put on a Hornets jersey they were lucky 2 recieve Vlade Divac 4 him @ THE TIME..... Tho admittedly in the grand scheme of things was a steal @ the time Divac was a perennial all-star selection & Kobe was an unproven high school player making demands b4 ever playin a peofessional minute.... & im a huge Kobe fan HUGE sixers fan loves A.I. & they def went w the best possible selection 2 bad theyre bout to throw away their 1st overall pic this year on Simmons

You did a good job but shareef Abdul Rahim was not a point guard he was a Power forward who played center later in his career. Also Pooh Richardson real name is Jerome Richardson and Blue Edwards real name was Theodore Edwards. Antoine walker was a great all around player and was the all star on the Celtics until Paul pierce came and developed into the guy on the team so I would have probably looked to choose him in the top 5 of the draft. Other than that I thought you did a good job.
