Speaking of recycling- we have a lot of pine trees around. I love to gather the needles when they fall and put them around my blue berry bushes to help the acidity in the soil.

Don't plant winter creeper unless your idea of a beautiful landscape is winter creeper everywhere= including your trees, which, if it gets started on them, it will eventually top and kill. It's a pernicious weed in the midwest and should be banned, but the garden centers are still allowed to sell it. I never planted any of it and yet my yard and my woods are full of it and it kills everything else.
