I have been on this earth for now 73 years and experienced great vocalist but none the likes of Angelina Jordan. It is not just her unique voice it is her total being that moves me and others like no one else can. AJ has the rare talent to translate and manipulate a song so that it penetrates what we refer to as a soul. Whitney singing “I Have Nothing” never affected me like AJ version does.

How can true angels dare, to put you down? After 3 years away, at warm California, coming home, you could literally see her exitement about that. In spite of cool, windy weather putting out a performance like this, is quite outstanding. All, you said, is true. She was spreading love, making people happy. Great reaction, Diddy! You know, I think there is one thing that should be mentioned here. This is probably one of the most demanding songs to sing ever. The full power long notes, the short breaks between the lines and the ever increasing build-up towards the end of the song. And singing in a low register (though it sounds like that is her natural register) like she did here, makes even more air pass through, thus requiring even more breath. As it turns out, this was Angelina's second performance of the song, back to back. During the first performance her hair was constantly blowing into her face, more than in THIS performance, to the extent that it affected her singing. The producer allowed her a 30 second break before she performed it again. She also performed it on the sound-check and again during the rehearsal, effectively making this her fourth performance of the song. Angelina's voice has matured incredibly in the last three years, since she performed the song last time. I can't imagine the stamina, power and breath control she must have at the age of 16. Add the fact that she performed Bohemian Rhapsody at least two times as well and we have wintnessed quite the effort from her first time on stage in three years. I am beyond impressed, I really have to say. At least it has showed me that her voice now is ready for the wear and tear associated with a full-blown promotion in relation to her upcoming album, if she and her family feel that the time is right. Interesting times to be an Angelina fan indeed 😛 Take care,amigo ♥

Angelina is adjusting to the changes in her voice. She is more comfortable in her lower register. Her voice is richer now, if that is possible. I have to believe hearing her perform live would be a life changing experience. I am envious of those who will be at her concerts in the next two weeks and can't wait until I can attend one of her concerts.

I love the overview over this amazing Fredriksten Festning (fortress). A lot of history at this place, the Swedish king was even shot to death here in a fight with Norwegians a long, long time ago. This is the 4th time Angelina performs here at Allsang På Grensen. And what an amazing time it is. In addition to an impeccable and wonderful "Bohemian Rhapsody", she sang of course this powerful epic song, "I Have Nothing". And so much she has matured since her first version! Her register is now more complete, the higher notes sound incredibly easy to make for her now. That vibrato, her runs and riffs, outstanding! Great rendition, even when she had to do it twice, for the production`s sake. Loved it! Thank you, Diddy, always a pleasure 💖

I missed the 2016 though, and "Feeling Good", because my baby had quite a hurry to see the world 😊Angelina sang once in 2014 ("What a difference a day make"), and twice in 2017, "It`s now or never" and "Something`s got a hold on me". Yes Didy , Angelina has already done a note for note version of Whitney's in the same key when she was 12 years old. There is a match up of Angelina and Whitney of her 12 year old version and Whitney as a 29 year old professional with all the bells and whistle of a top notch recording , and Angelina at her home studio with just a backing track and her new Neuman microphone she got for her 12th birthday present. @@didymalgia Americans will sometimes use the word "sick" or "crazy" or "insane" to describe something outstanding or amazing. It's simply a creative use of language, where the word's opposite sense is actually intended. Likewise, they might use "diva" to describe a self-important person (usually a woman) who is temperamental and difficult to please. It's use doesn't necessarily mean they don't know its true definition.

This is a big song and not every singer can Master it. She didn't when she was 12 and now here again at 16. Didy, I noticed also that she changed her phrasing a bit from her earlier performance so that the words didn't sound rushed like they did in a couple of places in her first version. Some voice teacher/reactors say that the female voice doesn't reach full maturity until her late 20s. Angelina is 16. God only knows how good she will sound 10 years from now. @@103mrg Well if this is a recorded for TV event then it's their responsibility to fill the seats too.... I remember Jackie evancho's 1st live concert for pbs. I was pretty much the only Jackie of ankle fan there everybody else was just friends of employees of the venue or other local people who didn't even know of her.... And that made for an odd crowd. But they did a cold run live recording the night before as well. I was fortunate enough to get my way in Is for the big night... Most amazing thing I ever seen a 10 year old do until 10:10 PM at night, Over 3 hours. Is truly unbelievable.

Hi Didy, Your review was spot on. Except....it wasn't amazing for me. Amazing implies that the subject of the comment is surprisingly better that one thought it would, or could be. So, for me her performance was not amazing; I had very high expectations. Her performance was superb, wonderful, and emotionally on target - all things I have become to expect from this beautiful young woman. It was a performance that was great! And it had the additional benefit of her voice having become more mature - to the point where I couldn't consciously hear the words she was singing until about the third time I listened to the performance - I was too lost the color, the depth, and the magnificence of her vocal tones and on top of that, the absolute control she has of her instrument, her voice. Absolutely great!

Why? Is it because Morissette has basically already peaked vocally while Angelina is still getting better and better and is already considered a top tier vocalist? Angelina is already considered to be an old soul and great storyteller, and ;people have been saying this since she was a pre-teen. Besides, after hearing so many commenters and reactors, hitting high notes and belting is not that important than one might think. It shows range, but it's more important for singing competitions than anything else.

Well, she is obviously a phenomenal singer. And, as great as this performance was…. It seemed to me that it was a essentially a copy of Whitney Houston. …. A great copy, but a copy none the less. What is my point? Well, take the example of Judy Garlands classic “Over the Rainbow”. Eva Cassidy did a totally unique version of the song. And in that context I am a little disappointed that there was not more originality in the performance
