Thank you so much, appreciate your informed commentary. Here in New Zealand we are loosing our much loved AK's SKS's etc. some have been loved family members for many years, heart breaking. Your vid's will be nice to watch over and over again , it will help until they take gun vid's away as well. Take care keep up the great work. cheers.

While i tend to be pretty calm about these things, if I am pushed past a certain point, a line...well, i am no longer calm. If something is important to me, I will fight tooth and nail for it, and have done so in the past.

Just always remember, your leaders are not your masters. They are supposed to represent the people. Alot easier said than done sitting behind my keyboard but you guys need to MAKE them know, that they do not control you. When they say give us your guns, you say No. If enough people stood up they would have to listen. If they government refuses to listen to the will of the people when they are armed, they certainly will never listen once you've been disarmed. It's gonna get real slippery. I'm sure they will try to censor any groups trying to gather for protest , so it may be hard to gather steam. You all have 1 gun for every 4 people in NZ, all standing side by side you have more armed men than the Chinese Communist party has in its army. If you all stand firm there is nothing the government can do, aside from mass murder or incarceration. Either of those results would shock the west into a revolution without a doubt. Sorry for the rant man, I'm really genuinely worried about you guys over there. I don't wanna see a bunch of Kiwis stuck in reeducation camps like the Uyghurs in the Xinjang province of China. I'm worried thats where we all might be headed, if we arent careful. Just report one of your Ak's stolen right now, bury it with some ammo and save it for the final showdown if need be. I would rather go out in hail of gunfire than get shipped off to some gulag. Best of luck from all the pro 2A guys here in the states, we are genuinely rooting for you guys.

The truth with the non matching serial numbers is that when the rifle was being made 922r compliant they mixed up parts when reassembling , too many monkeys in one garage. Something else interesting is the use of a single stack wasr style bolt not a true RPK double stack bolt, this is also found in some of the earlier AES-10B's . Keep in mind the bolt choice has been a non issue as far as performance goes as of now. I own a few including this newest one and they are all keepers! Thanks Misha, always enjoy your reports!

I think they all start off as normal bolts, just some were machined down to single stack. Question are you referring to the bolt carrier or the bolt itself?
@2009ridgeback
@2009ridgeback 5 жыл бұрын
@@misha5670 I am referring to the bolt, but they do also modify the bolt carrier so it is semi auto capable only! All part of bringing this rifle to us. God it makes me love my Paratrooper kit, all the original parts unmolested. See why you just must have all of them! LMAO! Thanks Misha

@Eugene Stoner I can't speak for every WASR & AES-10B that Century has imported, that's not possible but in the numbers matching WASR & AES-10B's that I own there have been two distinctly different bolts. When I posted photos of the bolts looking to learn the difference I was told they were indeed a single stack and a double stack. The single stack bolt is part of a matching AES-10B which I still own and it never fails to feed or function in any way. I have only had a few WASR's , I have a small collection of AES-10B's and one of the newest ones just imported. As Misha mentioned , God love my Paratroopers ! I have been collecting (building a few) Romanian RPK's and most recently RPK Paratroopers , all have what I know to be the double stack type bolt. Sorry for the short story, I'd be happy to share some photo's if you can shed more light on this subject , keep in mind unlike the Zastava OPAP these Romy's all function perfect!

I think The standard stroke piston which is relatively long decreases the rate of fire for squad support LMG , it may help in making the gun more controllable beside enhancing the accuracy of the gun and reduce or control the heat of the unchangeable barrel but for a LMG derivative from a gun designed primarily as assault rifle . while the advantages comes from increasing the distances of engaging the targets by extending the barrel length playing just like the PSL roles in support squad only the different comes from the rate of fire and the caliber where the firing mechanism is modified in the PSL to work with the old round 7.62x54R ...

Chronoing the the difference between a regular Wasr and this longer barreled Wasr would be interesting. Wonder if Velocity would change much or if the extra length is also mainly for heat management.
@SW-ii5gg
@SW-ii5gg 5 жыл бұрын
Not a lot from test I've seen, about 25 fps per inch up to 23" and at 24" velocity starts to decrease. That was using a brown bear and a bolt action cut back 1" at a time for the test.

S W I see, it looks like they designed that round pretty darn good from the get go to be very efficient with shorter carbine barrels that are handy and even performs pretty admirable with sbr and pistol length barrels.

@@aaronbarkley81 yeah, the Russian powder burns pretty fast and doesn't lose much on the shorter barrels either. Some of the domestic loads I've seen lose a lot from the short barrels.

I have two of these "NEW" production rifles. Both are very nice. But the dust covers for both do not have matching serial numbers. I understand if they used a few original pieces from old battle rifles . It is not a big deal to me but I have seen it drive some people crazy. It's kinda amusing to me... 😊
@misha5670

SEems like the mismatching is more Century than Cugir. The PM64 has been made with the smooth top cover for a long time, so these ribbed covers seem to be new production, thus probably came into the USA matching...but Century mixed them up during 922(r) and conversion.

Not an RPK though...20" barrel; not 23", standard rear sight, standard (Chinese) trunnion, wire recoil guide; not milled, etc. By the time of the AKM and RPK, relations between Russia and China were pretty cold, so China no longer received the TDP and tooling to make newer models.

They weren't that great and there's a reason why they cost less than a standard 16" barreled Chinese AK
@lioncelica5170
@lioncelica5170 5 жыл бұрын
@@misha5670 That is true. I've also read that the reason that Chinese stamped AK's have a 1.5mm thick receiver is because a milled receiver AK is that same thickness. So Chinese AK's are essentially a Type 3 AK with a stamped receiver. Or that's at least the best conclusion I've come to.

Hey Mishaco, Where can I get original Yugo NPAP semi-auto trigger groups? Or any Yugo parts for that matter? Do you know of any upgrade triggers that work in the NPAP? CMC, ALG, Elftmann, Red Star, Arsenal? One of my NPAPs has the Century Arms trigger (underfolder), the other has the Tapco G2 (fixed stock). Both guns have less than 100 rounds, but the one with the G2 is already showing signs of tail-end peening on the carrier (plus it gets locked up when trying to charge the gun). I have been told that the G2 trigger is just too hard and is the reason for the peening, and internet forums have recommended putting original trigger groups in guns if worried about this problem. I have Wolff Extra Power Springs (thanks to your videos) and no name recoil buffers in both guns. Thanks for any help you can give! ~Josh

Nope, little interest & as of 2019, I don't feel MGs are great investments. That market seems to have mostly platoed out a few years ago and now prices only rise to keep pace with inflation. You'd be better off investing in various imports like Arsenal, CZ, or Cugir IMO, cheers
