This is one of the best encounters I have seen, and I will tell you why. Deputy Hellen Keller came out all big and hostile, and then went totally mute (and looked like he might be having a stroke, but I think he just has a chew in) for a long while. During his period of silence the non-human part of him that IS "the uniform" faded away, and he became just a regular person...and it was very apparent that he was extremely uncomfortable and wanted so badly to leave. At some point you gave him the directive "don't touch me", which he obviously resented. This was somewhat ironic, and was almost a role reversal. We all know the police love giving out directives. "Don't walk on their property", "Don't interfere with my dispatchers", etc. In the end you stood your ground and TOLD the Chief of Police to kick rocks...and he did! Thanks for the great stuff, James!

Thank you SO much! I haven’t laughed this much since the last Dave Chapelle special. The way you handle these situations is truly inspiring. Your comedic timing while being deadpan serious has me in stitches. It seems to me that each video begins with the possibility of two opposing outcomes - you start a possible lifelong friendship with an officer OR an officer embarrasses himself and reconsiders how he just acted. It all depends on the officer and you ride the verbal force continuum as he escalates. I watch a lot of these police accountability videos and you are one of the very best. Certainly the funniest!!! Keep up the great work. I’m gonna look up a way to support you right now and send you some money.

@@shantyburton6854 I looked this up and got "The Rise of the Warrior Cop" in google results. I like to see what Wikipedia has on most subjects and have summarized the book this way: The main argument of Rise of the Warrior Cop is that the introduction of the War on Drugs in the 1960s has caused the police and legal institutions of The United States to progressively grow in power and influence, while continuing to have little to no accountability. Balko introduces his central thesis by first tracing the historical origins of contemporary police institutions beginning with law enforcement in the Roman Republic, Medieval England and Colonial America. Balko introduces the interpretation of the Third Amendment to the United States Constitution implicitly prohibiting the use of a military or paramilitary group for day to day criminal law enforcement. I also then noticed, returning to the google results a CATO institute link which provides an hour long what seems to be just under hour long Q & A with the author, Radley Balko. No surprise the War on Drugs, our pseudo-culture war is mention a major, if not, the culprit here. As well, no surprise tome that the CATO institute would have the author as a guest. CATO produced a report, ten years into Reagan's expansion of the drug war in 1992 entitled "A society of suspects" I have probably tweeted the link on Twitter over a thousand times and hope something changes before I end up posting it another thousand here, but here's the first www.cato.org/publications/policy-analysis/society-suspects-war-drugs-civil-liberties there is forward quote by Milton Friedman, Friedman was a close personal friend Reagan's remarkably... the quote reads... here>> Every friend of freedom … must be as revolted as I am by the prospect of turning the U.S. into an armed camp, by the vision of jails filled with casual drug users and of an army of enforcers empowered to invade the liberty of citizens on slight evidence. - Milton Friedman[1]
