In 2002, Robert Plant would provide a little more detail about "Going to California", telling "Spin" magazine that the song was, “Me reflecting on the first years of the group, when I was 20, and was struggling to find myself in the midst of all the craziness of California and the band and the groupies.” The line, "The mountains and the canyons start to tremble and shake, the children of the sun begin to awake", alludes in all likelihood to the artistic community of Laurel Canyon, embodied in the late sixties by Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Jackson Browne, and Jim Morrison.

Thank you, yet again, for your hobest reactions to ALL genres of music as it truly IS the bobd and universal language of the world no katter what country you live in, language you speak, ir genre if music you typically prefer. It's been oroven so nany times over all over the ENTIRE world that we can ALL be united by music and the emotion and instruments that come with any type. I love love watching your reactions vecause not only are you honest about what you think and feel about any given song, but your true openness and ability to give ANYTHING a listen and a shot in your unguarded and very open and unassuming mind, tou tell it EXACTLY as it is in YOUR mind and YOUR interpretation of the song. I wish the world could use music to bring us alo together peacefully to help us remember that we all come from the same essential parts, pieces, emotions and feelings... But unfortunately, that just isn't and will never be the unifying factor we all could yse and really need to avoid so much aggression towards cultures and religions and colors and beliefs that we aren't used to, but I wish more than ANYTHING that it could help the entire world realize abd remember that we are all of one creation and that we are all human beings.
