Maybe he has allowed himself to changed with age ... you can't really be that 20 year old as a 70 year old but a 70 year old has a hell of a lot more experience that's for sure. Unlike some "rockers" who cling to their youth I think Robert Plant has evolved or just changed and gone with it ... nothing wrong with that especially when a lot of his voice is still so great!

Led Zeppelin's last American concert was at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco - I believe it was in 1979. At the time, I had lived in the same district (Sunset) in S F. where the stadium is located. I was 11 years old and had yet to discover Led Zeppelin; in fact, it would be less than a year later that I had. Around 1982 I had turned my mom on to Zeppelin, and by 1983 I and my mom were fortunate enough to catch Robert Plant on his Big Log tour when he and his band played in Oakland. Phil Collins was his drummer throughout the tour. It was amazing. I would love to see him once more before he retires. I'm glad to see Sir Robert Plant alive and well, and doing what he does best. Keep on rocking! ❤

Next to Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, Freddie Mercury and even Axl Rose in his prime these are the greatest rock vocalists of all time. IMO I'd have to give first place to Steve Perry, just incredible range and a unique natural voice that blew the roof off every stadium Journey played and Perry would not just sound the same as on the album, he would go beyond what was recorded. Instead of conserving himself on the live shows, Perry would go for higher and longer notes than what was on the album....who does that these days?

Fall of '72 communing with fellow hippies, living in a couple of teepees in the woods of the Kettle Valley near a one horse town, Rock Creek. One of the teepees had turntable and speakers hooked up to an old industrial inverter and car batteries. At one point the blotter acid came out and we watched the sun go down onto of a high ridge and the moon and stars come out. Somewhere in all of that someone put on the the fourth album with this. The memories a single tune can evoke.
