Possible bad Schrader I would have shot some soap down in the condensate and visible connections. I agree with all you did on a Saturday though. And you are spot on with customer communication. Its everything!

Dave, I just googled nor cal refrigeration and you guys have two 5 star ratings and one 1 star.. comment says super rude guy wont ever call again!! 😂😂😂 who did u piss off??

With that sort of jobs I usually gas a percentage of the charge and see what happens, if it takes 2000 grams I would put say 200grams in and see what my pressures done if they improved I would got to 500 grams, if the pressures improve I would leak check and get them going for the weekend as you did if nothing obvious, also doing it that way for me rules our restrictions or blockages. In saying that I don’t carry a reclaim all the time. Love ya work

Did you put back just the 11 oz or did you add a little more if so how much more would you add on a cap tube system

Reach in freezers should be between 5-10 degrees? So should pressures be for a 404 and for a 134 unit?

Could just be from guys hooking up gauges in the past maybe 🤔

Just curious. If there is a leak in the system would you not pull in air when your recovery machine is in a vac?

Hey Dave. I don't do refrigeration but that sounds like sound advice as always. Just like we learn: air flow, air flow, air flow. Communication is the key to good service and can at times hide a multitude of sins if one's sincere. Thanks for a great video. You got them up and running. Have a great evening. God bless.

It’s either in the loop or pin holes in the evaporator elbows. Put some trace gas in and the rest nitrogen, but you are so correct in recovery and weighing to see what you had.

ahh a "custom" junk storage rack laying on top the unit, I'm betting they pile junk on top it often and it's probably half cooked too.

@@davejohnsonnola2758 The junk piled on-top the unit next to it was a big clue.. while I'm not an HVAC/R tech as day job, I've seen way more than most "wet behind the ear techs" =p I have my hands into everything and my knack is solving issues nobody else seems to be capable of or they just don't care too thinking it's someone else's issue, I'm getting lazy with age and would rather troubleshoot the issue and tell/show others how to fix it ;)

Great advice!👍 I just got home from fixing a bad leak in a liquid line above a walk in freezer.

You’ll never notice a small leak with those gauges on such a small leak, get in there and grab that stupid sub cooling tray lines, I bet the leak is prominent, nothing beats manufactures using different metals, which corrode. For you old guy, it’s called a SUB COOLING tray, that is its purpose, their is a reason you don’t look after commercial restaurants, cause you’re not a good tech
@christiansommer9145 жыл бұрын
My money is on a bad scherder valve.. That's why you can hold pressure( with your hoses on)

right, it's always a good idea to check them before gauging up :)

About friggin’ time you got some heat 😂Had my hat on all day, high humidity and in the 90’s. No matter what equipment, weighing it out is the only way you’ll know what you’re dealing with. Dealing with VRV equipment, this is a must.
