Thanks for this video, it was very helpful. I've been playing the Jobava a lot recently (I also bought Hans Niemann's course finally) and I noticed this Slav type defense being played against me more often than any other approach from all levels of players.

I’m running almost exclusively against the Slav in 2200-2300!

in the first game when white played Qb6 wouldnt it be better to play Na4 followed by c3?
@russelllippai14639 ай бұрын
Playing a3 after the Qb6 stops Qxb2. I learned it from Alex himself so I don’t know why he didn’t play it.

I wonder why you don't go a3 here on 0:53 to trap his queen ?

I will give some advice to young players who really want to play really good games. If you want to get anywhere in Chess don't "half ass it", playing the London System is fun for speed etc but if you want good games just play the main lines. Real chess is hard work 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4. After I gave up the London, Torre Attack etc and played 2.c4 my games got better and I won more.

Why not push pawn to a3 in first game and let queen take b2, then knight to a4 and queen's trapped
