Hey man I was busy all day. Still working. Just wanted to say 2 things. 1) Try putting the OEM air box in with no filter or high flow filter 2) Try launching it using the rpm up swing method. As in as soon as the rpm go over 3,000 let go of the brake. Don’t even let it bounce of the rev limiter That might work with those old tires for now

My spare parts are jam packed in storage.. we finally move into our house next week, I’ll see if I even still have it lol.. gonna get a blaze to test against this though. As for the launch I will try! But these tires are heat cycled out, they’re dead dead. I put them through hell this year lol

@@BryceJordanProductions Yea we saw them tires haha. However that method has shown success for some guys once modded heavy. Just kinda gives it enough hesitation due to not sitting at 4k rpm and snapping into a launch

You’ll get there man, keep at it. I just started my journey to the 10’s with my ‘22 Golf R. I just went Unitronic stage 2, installed a DBV2 catted downpipe and we mistakingly left the upstream O2 sensor unplugged. I took it to the track that night and ran an 11.64 @119 not knowing that the car was handicapped. Anyway we found the issue after the fact and I will get back for testing next week. My 60’ was 1.77 but I’ll definitely need to get that to the 1.6x range.

I’m for sure putting in a burnout switch just the company who’s switch I want (custom made) is lacking on email replies. I might just get the “R8 buttons” for the steering wheel and wire it in that way.

Nice middle of the night 1/4 mile pulls, no pain no gain.. Regarding the intake, hate to break it you, but open intake or aftermarket sport version will not bring you any power. It has been proven on so many MQB engined cars.. So keep that 400$ in your pocket. It seems you loose a lot of time due to spinning wheels. I wish there was a way to force the Haldex and front diff to fully lock all fours to each other.

Man , that spin is crazy... are you sure its suppose to spin like that ? Mechanically speaking ... After tires get warm it spins a lot less.. it just shoots into the higher rpm

You’re going to need another 100whp. Not sure why you’re spinning, my rs3 @ 500+whp doesn’t spin with all seasons (hankook) an I run 10.9 at 127. Also I don’t think taking out your intake filter is a good idea, doubt you’ll notice a difference that’s worth the risks of sucking in dirt and bugs that will destroy your motor. On 93 @ 400+whp I ran 11.2 at 122.

I don’t need another 100 hp. I need a good 60ft and better DA. I’ve gotten 1.67 on these tires when they were new. They are far past their heat cycle range as I autocross and daily them - this is common with the RT660. If I can get into the 1.6 range with better air I think I’ll have it. I’ve seen 10s with a 125 trap with a good 60. Taking more weight out should help too. Just wait till you see next weeks video. This was 3 weeks ago

@@ironmb86 I did 10.6 on 5 year old Indy 500's, but a crappy 60', DR2's aren't slicks, they are drag radials and will make a big difference, I think I can do a 10.2 or better just switching to them.

Brother it’s tire spin lol. You can feel it, you can smell it. With 200tw tires that are past their heat cycle life, and in the cold.. they are like ice. This is very common with autocross tires after a certain amount of heat cycles.

You can literally hear the tires man turn up the volume, why are you being so aggressive about this lol. All you have to do is google “RT660 heat cycle life” and you will see all the hundreds of posts about how slow the tires get after X amount of cycles. This is normal for 200tw tires. They aren’t for drag racing. They just don’t have the grip in them any more, the compound its self is dead. I agree that Michelins or whatever wouldn’t spin, but these aren’t those man. I’m not bullshitting you. You will see what I mean when I get new tires, it’s not clutches. I data log these runs my tuner says get new tires and take out the camber lol
