@learnwithleon2 жыл бұрын
With the 8kyus spend more time on the analysis. So, 20 mins max trying to solve and up to 40mins really understanding, retyping, deleting, doing it again. As for Anki, trust the algorithm and increase your new cards per day to min 100. If you are not reviewing enough cards soon enough, it loses its ability to help.

I love this coursera break down: www.coursera.org/articles/strengths-and-weaknesses-interview both their Fear of public speaking and not know a specific language are spot on! Hey Leon, I actually had to stop mid cohort , around the last few lectures, and was struggling with my 100hours project. I was struggling so hard with EJS and other stuff, and felt so lost and defeated and took a break from it all, Should I go back to zero and start learning all over again and maybe fill some gaps in my knowledge? Or pick back where I left off , or pick any random class that I feel like I was struggling and watch your lectures and code again from there? Not sure if all that made sense but basically I struggled at times but Yea I am still very hungry to make it, and hope I can be guided in some way.

What do you mean by not displaying correctly? As in the content is not showing up or the styling has been impacted? If it is not showing up, then double check your ejs files. If not styled correctly, make sure your copied over the css and that you are not being impacted by the cascaded. Use the inspect tool to be sure and jump on Discord if you are still having trouble. Also, I've been discouraged by the "doom and gloomers" ringing the alarm bells about ChatGPT eventually taking tech jobs out of the job market. Thoughts on that?
@learnwithleon Жыл бұрын
ChatGPT is an amazing tool on your toolbelt. It can improve your work flow and make you a better engineer, but it can't write production code, maintain that code, or work collaboratively with a large team of developers. I find most folx spewing this idea really have no idea what devs actually do day to day... Also, by the time it takes dev jobs it will have destroyed so many other industries that we'll either have UBI or an apocalyptic hellscape. If you are worried about ChatGPT I suggest stocking up on surplus food and water

Wait that goes away... I find it best to talk with my team and bluntly ask if they are okay with you asking a lot of questions even some that may be "stupid". If they agree, that takes a lot of pressure off your shoulders and as long as you are not asking the same questions multiple times you should be in the clear. Then set clear expectations with your manager. What is going to be accomplished in 3/6/12 months and work hard to meet those goals. If you are meeting your goals, learning, asking questions regularly you will slowly get more comfortable and feel better. BUT KNOW EVERY DEVELOPER feels this way all through out their careers esp when learn something new. Trust that you know how to learn and things will get better!
