@2:11:09 it's pretty bad practice to use Yarn and NPM at the same time. Then you're going to have 2 separate lock files that can conflict. Anyway with expo best practice is to use npx expo install to install dependencies as it handles the conflicts for you better than the other package managers within an Expo project.

Amazing content!! I just finished the four apps, the order Sonny put the four videos into this one was great because many things presented on the signal app tutorial don't work exactly the way Sonny put it on the video because of depreceated libraries and different versions, however, its possible to adapt using the material from tinder's tutorial. I did not finished in 14 hours because my lack of experience and trying to fix the most variable bugs that emerged in the way, but i'm really pleased with the results!! If i had the conditions i would totally subscribe to papafam courses, 'cause if the content is so amazing for free, imagine what he presents on the paid courses! If you guys are just starting such as me, don't give up, the result is amazing! Good luck and fortune to you all!!

Hello, I hope you are doing well. how did you figure to make the firebase part to work (in the tinder clone) ? Now we are obligated to use auth-session library because of the expo-google-app-auth being deprecated, does it work the same ? + I am unable to generate the fingerprint.
2 жыл бұрын
@@etienne971 Hey Etienne, I still used the expo-google-app-auth when I was making the apps. Although I did some research and using expo-auth-session seems a little different, instead of using await Google.logInAsync you will have to use the promptAsync() to make the authentication go through. I haven't tried it yet, but I will see if I can try to make using expo-auth-session this week and if i'm succeed I come back here to tell you how the code needs to be. My firebase db from that project already expired, so I'll need to create another one :/
