But she was also fibbing about what LMU promotes. Kind of strange that a private Catholic university would be about contraception. Even more so, Roman Catholics call artificial contraceptions including condoms a "mortal sin." At the very least most of them will forbid premarital sex outright. Her school is Loyola Marymount University, which is a Roman Catholic school, and she just recently graduated per her Instagram. The thing I found is that the student newspaper had an article less than two years ago criticizing the school for not supporting safe sex. Search Google for "It’s time LMU starts supporting safe sex" for more info. As noted in the article, "On our campus, we are unable to access any condoms or any other forms of birth control. The Student Health Services can give birth control prescriptions, but you cannot obtain the pills on campus and they do not provide transportation to help students access them." It's one thing for the school to publicly state it, but based on the article, it's not even privately supported. I think she was just trying to promote the idea. That said, her claims may have violated the LMU student code of conduct, though I doubt they can act on them now.
