The korean mother who reunited with her daughter through virtual reality really got me. That clip is actually taken from a mini documentary I have watched before explaining how her daughter got sick so suddenly and died. She really didn't have a chance to say goodbye at all. The team behind the VR was amazing, they approached this with such care and compassion. Hard to watch but so beautiful.

I got what you saying the whole thing but the thing is that that mother after all that she will see her daughter but won’t be able touch her or understand what she’s saying and for anyone to do that cruel thing to a mother that had lost her child is just as a bad as making a video that shows a crimes a live crime I really hated them to make her go through that I do understand that they meant well but at the end of the day she will want to come again to see her daughter again and again she will never move on because she will see her and think that later since the scientists could make her see her child she will think that someday they might able to let her touch it and that just inhuman to do for someone

Jesus christ, I haven't cried this hard in two months. That last one was way too heartbreaking for me, because About a month before I ever saw this, I thought, what if I could see my dad in VR? Like, made a virtual version. He died when I was Five, And even before that he was usually at work, but I knew he loved me a lot. So if I could actually see the real him, and talk, tell him what has happened in my life, ask him questions, I would never stop crying throughout the whole conversation with him. But the people who made that possible for the mother, they are angels.

The VR is touching, but at the same time, it's very hurtful. 😭 She's able to see and talk to her child from years ago, but at the same time she's not actually there. She can't hug her or even touch her face like if she really was there.
@erjinson4 жыл бұрын
she asked to do it for closure and the gloves made her actually feel stuff
@rebeccamichael6264 жыл бұрын
She can feel with the gloves, but when she went to touch her face, her hands went through. They didn't stop.
@denni_4 жыл бұрын
@@rebeccamichael626 yeah that is true, they didnt add in any physics based objects so she just passes right through her face. But in a time of sadness it probably felt so real since she could actually feel it. Even if her hands didnt stop

The fourth one hit so hard. I was really close with my grandma. We moved from Indiana to Texas four years ago. She got covid-19 and it started out with a cough. A few months later she was being rushed to the hospital with double pneumonia. We didn’t get to hear her voice, god I wish I could just hear her voice again. I miss her so much, when my mom, my dad, all of my family was unstable and unreliable she was the rock in my life. My mom called her needy, but she was the only one who would always be there for you. She wasn’t soft and cuddly all the time but she knew when to be sensitive and just how to help people back into a place of motivation and normalcy. It’s been so many months and I still can’t come to terms with the fact that she’s gone forever. We went back to Indiana for her funeral and being there made me so comfortable. Indiana was where i’ve lived since I was 2 up until I was 14. That’s the first and probably the only time I will ever genuinely sob at a funeral. I think i’m going to move back closer to Indiana once i’m done with college and in a stable place financially. So I can make the drive up to her grave once a month just like we’d do with grandpa. If I could go back in time and do one thing, i’d let my mom know how little time we’d have with her mom. I’d convince her to move my grandma down here with us, like we planned to do initially when we moved here, so that we would be able to see her every day, so we wouldn’t regret missing her calls, so we could make her feel loved, so she wouldn’t have had to die alone.

I'm so sorry you lost your grandmother. She sounds like a wonderful, loving person who was there for you when you needed it. Cherish the memories you have of her. I'm sure she is still watching over you.

Yeah I lost my mom at the age of 24. To undiagnosed heart disease. She was 45 just a baby. This past October so it's a hard Mother's day. So the forest Gump got me the most. I didn't get to see my mom much over the years I lived with my dad she lived far and didn't drive and you can't change the past. I wasn't prepared. So definitely don't take those you love for granted tomorrow is not promised. I just miss her dearly. It wrecked me she was proud momma I didnt deserve a good mom,but if she was anything in life she loved us her boys. 😥 She always told me I will always be her baby no matter how grown I was.

I’m a 27 year old black man with no kid, but that mom and the hologram of her kid kind of broke me. I don’t know about you but I think that vr message kind of go to far in the emotional department. I don’t think that will really be too healthy for you to see someone that’s past like that.
@613lcd4 жыл бұрын
27 years old a no kids? Your lucky! As a father my best advice I can give you is don't have kids cause mothers always matter much more than fathers in the USA. Kids are great at the end of the day it's just as a father were an afterthought next to the mother.

Wait, wait! Are you talking about the virtual reality with the asian Mom? Because if so I think I heard somewhere that the gloves that she was wearing had some sort of sensors that simulated the feeling of physical touch so when she touched her daughter the sensors would activate to replicate the sense of her actually holding her daughter in real life.
