Wow, that is amazing. It is just as valid an instrument as a synthesizer, or even a guitar. Just needs a brilliant user to make more amazing music.

It's really more of a Nord, Korg, Roland (all synth's) without the keyboard. But I love the way you can easily see and control everything on a display.

Some symphonic movements are in sonata-form. Your synchronic movements are electronata-form. Awesome.

Great sounds, great concept, looks like it's a bit hard to control unless you know the building blocks of digital synthesis. Can't wait for the block symbol that brings up a regular old keyboard.

Considering what different people consider music, these sounds could be incorporated into works involving other instruments, or the method of playing this device could be finely practiced until the point when a person or more than one could use it to great musical effect.

Very Cool. Someone was asking how you could repeat a performance. I would suggest superimposing a grid over the table. Its circular, you could asign the lines as Longitudes and Latitudes. Since the objects can be rotated,I would add a third reference for placement such as degrees of a circle. From a reference point on the table and on the object, the degree of rotation could be recorded. I. E. Phase shifter 112 Lat by 130 Long @ 90 degree. Just a thought.

This is the coolest thing i´ve ever seen. Amazingly stands between the digital virtual interfaces and real, touchable criativity... I am sorry to tell you that you can´t call it a musical instrument, but i am looking forward for a video that shows some superior being actually achieving to perform or compose a real song, or simply sum it´s capabilities to a song´s arrangement. Otherwise, it will continue to be a beautiful, edgy, creative and customizable noise-making machine.

Think about it man. Its got a huge playing field. You could have say 4 musicians playing on one table. Also, everything is touch play design. Which means you get a more "human" interface than your usual parameters that a keyboard may have. I can see these being made on a much smaller scale and being hooked into PC's via USB. Which in turn would allow for internet communication between other international musicians. The list goes on!!

holy crap blade runner an stuff is finally catching up with us... or is it that we are catching up with it... either way, that is simply incredible. an ingenious interface, regardless of how it is being used here, im sure there are some interesting things this could be adapted to. besides you can probably do more with that than you can a set of turn tables for a start.
