@Ashley-mb2qe4 жыл бұрын
I have tips on vibrato! Well kinda to get the hang of it. Ok so you place your hand in playing position then loose any pressure against your thumb and the neck of your instrument. That’s how you make it easier for your hand. Some exercises for your hand depending on what type of vibrato you’re doing. For example, arm vibrato or wrist vibrato. Arm vibrato is better and easier for beginners. Ok back to your hand, like I said loosen any pressure you have on your thumb then place your 2nd or 3rd finger on your a string and slide your finger up and down the string alongside with your thumb. Then just slide up and down the section where your finger is. Let’s say your 3rd finger, you are going to slide up and down from the placement of your 2nd finger to your 4th finger placement. Count to 3 then place your finger on its usual spot. Your arm should be moving. (Not your WHOLE arm) (sorry if this isn’t clear enough) (hopefully this kinda helps) if you get tired that’s fine, your arm needs to get used to it.

Esther this was really a special moment, thank you so much for sharing this! I thought you were truly amazing, wow! Perhaps your facial expressions were indicative that you had felt then, that you hadn't played it as you had hoped for! This is the beauty of this "window through time", because though your spirit deep within you truly knows how the music and performance should be, or must be, but perhaps it didn't meet your expectations,...; ...and as you see and reflect upon that moment in time (both then and now) through the lens of critical self analysis based on your current state of developement, abilities/skillsets or even understood or perceived limitations, including biases, belief systems and certainly many more factors indeed, there's either satisfaction or disappointment, whichever; but as you know it takes sometimes, massive and continuous effort to train and refine the body through much discipline to be able to accurately convey that "inner knowing" through the limitations of the body with the absolute precision, and expression you intend and strive for. You may see something different, but the way I see it, I see both the you then, and the you now, as perfection. If in another decade you have the ability to again reflect back upon your now, you'll gain even further insight (and I hope appreciation) into your evolution and progress. You have so much to be grateful for, so be happy friend, most importantly be happy for you and not for other's expectations of you, even if your journey takes you into the great unknown into uncharted waters! Love and light to you dear Esther! Live, Love, Be! - Sky Dance, your fan from Montana, USA!

Since you are playing a musical instrument from your childhood .. how did you manage to make time to study your school subjects and have time to practice.. For me i really love practising i wish i could just have to practice all the time .. but i really have to study .. my mom keeps scoulding me for just practising and not studying .. i feel like im gonna lose hope to study my musical instrument and stop but i really dont want i really love music .. what should i do ? ..its really complicated to manage the time .. When should i study all my subjects , im 15 , college is gonna come too .. how did you manage to make time for everything .. ??

What really worked for me is taking the time to plan smart. You will "lose" some time in planning and will feel like you don't have the time to do it at first and the benefit doesn't always come, but planning can also be improved with practice. As you practice planning, it becomes natural and you can fit everything or know from beforehand what just won't fit. Hope this helps...
