I remember watching Hayley on sytycd that season and being so inspired by her. I was in middle school and struggled with my body image and self confidence but somehow got the courage to take a dance lesson because of Hayley. I started doing competitions and joined the dance team in high school which ended up being my outlet throughout high school. Thanks Hayley for being such an amazing inspiration and person to look up to🙏🏻

Ahhhh I took class with Mia Michael’s at a convention in 2002 and I will never forget I got her attention with my dancing and she complemented me. It was HUGE for me. Because I was not a big girl, but curvy and big for a dancer. She boosted my confidence so much to continue dancing to this day at age 35 as a plus-size dancer. I learned I can still ROCK IT even if I look different. 💜💜💜 She wouldn’t remember me in a million years but I will ALWAYS remember her for that!

It is definitely creepy of the choreographer to put both the young gal and the young guy in that situation. A misuse of power.

I don't know about that. It's not like she was 12 or something. Actors, dancers etc are there to play a role and if that involves a butt grab I'm not sure it's a big deal. It'd be another thing if you're practicing with a choreographer and they are using it as an excuse to molest. In this case it sounds like they specifically were told not to do it and the guy did it anyway.
