Reacting to ALL Honkai Star Rail CHARACTER Trailers Part 1

Just fyi, Seele and Bronya are not sisters in HI3rd lol. They just got taken in by the same orphanage, when Bronya was around 11 or 12. People just hate the idea of shipping them, so they fabricated some sort of incest controversy over the fact that Seele calls Bronya "onee-chan"/"jiejie." Putting aside the fact that even the Mihoyo of back then probably wouldn't have wanted to publish canon official material of two sisters kissing, as a South Korean myself, I can tell you that people are deliberately taking the "big sister" thing out of context. The words simply do not translate literally over to English. Asian people LOVE being called "big bro/sis" by their crushes, lovers, spouses, and it's something people will call their friends, coworkers, even just acquaintances depending on level of formality. Tl;dr, people spread misinformation about Bronya and Seele's relationship in HI3rd as being incestuous, simply out of spite (Edit) Just wanted to add a warning that misinformation about HI3rd as a whole is rampant in the Star Rail community, since so many people don't actually play the game but make theories and fan canons using it as a base. No shade to those people, I understand they're probably just hyped, but yeah. The Luocha coffin theory proposed in this video, for example, is a product of this.

Just to clarify some more: Onee-chan/jiejie is an endearing way of referring to an older/more mature figure in life, kinda like calling that nice older neighbor "auntie" or something. It can be used for an older sister, an older female figure, some random older but not "auntie" aged woman you meet on the street, or a romantic partner (idk about the Japanese version, but in Chinese, "jiejie" could also be used to refer to a woman you find hot/pretty). Almost all people in the HI3 fandom (that I know of) ship Bronya and Seele because they have canonically kissed and are NOT biologically related in any way. However, I have seen some new players/video reactors misunderstand the relationship from hearing Seele call Bronya "onee-chan." I've never seen people spread misinformation about their relationship out of spite, but I don't doubt that it happens in many places. Also, yeah, a lot of people hear half of the HI3 story and use it to create theories in HSR. Notwithstanding the fact that nothing in HI3 is required to be canon in HSR, many HSR theories based on HI3 aren't the most accurate and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Ahhh, thank you so much for taking the time to try clarifying this!! I completely get how things can easily be lost in translation/misunderstood and try to withhold any true opinions until I get the chance to do my own research precisely because of this (I've seen it happen way too often in anime/manga/manhua/manhwa).

and the fact that you hv to clarify this is so? hsr players getting all pissed and butthurt when hi3 players brought up lore related to the actual characters in there and all the build-up to reveal (spoilers, not really) acheron being the actual raiden mei. plus, they hate to see all the gay things when hoyo themself made hi3 a sapphic fest game lol. thanks for clearing that up!

Seeing as I have (yet) to play HI3, I personally don't hold any real opinions about them from that game haha. All I know is in my Star Rail headcanon, they are wives, enemies to lovers if you will 😌

View them as siblings, as friends or ship them idc. I just don't like people telling others who know nothing of a story that their own interpretations are canon, that goes for anything really. I like people forming their own understanding of smth. Hope this is understandable enough since english is not my first language.

I actually doubt that about Yanqing?? Even if it's a long life species it's been said that they age like normal humans, they just don't die of old age, so if Yanqing was like 200 years old he would've been an adult already, I'm pretty sure it's different with Foxians and the dragon people whose name I can't spell, since they're originally long lived species who do die of old age, unlike the humans who weren't supposed to be a long lived species

@@nexaaaaaaa By "older" I meant like 20-30. He acts like a 12 year old, imo. It gets weird when the Abundance gets involved. There was an early event where the TB worked with an actor that was a couple hundred years old, but they stopped aging as a child, so they were only cast in child roles. They used a child model in-game.

Poor Yanqing, I love him as a character and I can see him actually pretty strong from story quest but ngl his luck with his opponents sucks so bad that compared to all character in Xianzhou Luofu he stronger than 95% characters in there but he always meet that 5% and repeatedly get his ass clapped.

Hm - since this isn't a spoiler, will comment. There are in fact a lot of societal similarities to Las Vegas, both good and bad, but I'd say there's far less emphasis on gambling as a revenue stream than as a source of entertainment. Penacony gets most of its money much more directly; they are not here either to foster gambling addiction or to profit off it. It does have casinos, and they aren't better places to work at, but games are about as likely to be rigged in the player's favor as the house's.

30:30 Chat is right; Dan Heng and Blade were pretty much canonically married or at least engaged in the past. Dan Heng is slowly getting his memories back, while Blade believes that Dan Heng is just pretending not to know. Their lore is... a lot 💀. Most of it is subtext, and even then, it's hard to understand. A certain Chinese character, which is exclusively used when talking about weddings/engagements, was used to describe their relationship, so it's pretty obvious lol
