Some of these openings feel like they have spoilers in hindsight, but on a first watch you're missing so much context that they don't really tell you anything. It's more like, the opening makes more and more sense the further into the arc you get? Edit: Oh, except for opening 3 spoiling that Robin joins the crew.

Yup, I started One Piece way back in mid-2000 and watched the openings every time. OP3 was the only real spoiler because it's too obvious, everything else was just "huh who is that" or "what's going on, that looked cool" and there's just no context at all.

Fight Together is just one of the best anime intros ever period. From Ace pushing him forward and him running back to collect his friends back because losing his brother is not the end? And using the usual "show off every character shot" to tell a story as part of the intro instead? Fucking beautiful.

Fight together is an opening that you need to watch with subtitles, because not only is the music very good and the animation content very good, but the meaning of the lyrics also adds a lot. I cried so much watching this opening for the first time, it's as if they were saying "look at everything we've been through... I know a lot of bad things happened and it was very difficult, but the sun will shine again, things will improve, just believe" Then the next opening is We Go! and it lights up your heart in an unbelievable way. For me, Fight Together and We Go! are a perfect sequence, closing an era and opening a new one, they nailed the mood and feelings.
