What a passionate reaction to the breakdown lol. This song was very well done with chugs and synths giving off the Rammstein-like industrial vibe. I get why fans are divided on this, it doesn't sound like Architects we knew of. Cutting edge is always met with rejection at first, eventually people will be receptive to it as time goes by. Style changes are inevitable and it's a healthy way to move forward. Hence, I'm excited to experience this new era of Architects :)

I really like this comment. Very smart. For real though, this is an absolute banger and I can't wait to hear more stuff.
@ultimatedodger42474 жыл бұрын
100% great open-minded thoughts. No shade to their older stuff. They've known to drop some experimental singles in the past. While Sam's cleans had always been in their previous work, this industrial sound from them is new and looks like they're trying to make waves with the most experimental track off of their new album (or it could just be a one-off). I'm excited to see more!
@thetourist51334 жыл бұрын
Stuff like this always happens whenever a band changes style or starts incorporating other elements in whatever it is they did before. See how many people absolutely hate Paradise Lost albums One Second and, to an even greater degree, Host, on principle alone.
@St3yn0124 жыл бұрын
My first reaction to this song was "this is a great song, I don't care for it at all though" I like it a bit more after a few re-listens but it will never come close to things off Lost Forever // Lost Together or All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us for me. It's cool that they're experimenting though, but I probably won't listen to them that much any more outside of their older albums.
@stijndesaedeleer83954 жыл бұрын
@@ultimatedodger4247 you can also think this is a song they wanted to release to get some form of feedack while not being done with the entire album and thus having a mid writing feedback channel to gauge audience if this is something that gets a positive response. I do love this direction that they've taken it though, as I think the threat given off by the alarm sounds and synths is so well written as it really gets under my skin and makes me both ecstatic and almost at a high sense of alert at the same time.

Following your reactions when time comes to break down the art is (one and a few of) a real pleasure(s)! That being said, looking forward to seeing you reacting to more of Architects (amongst many other worthy bands!)! The fact is, your don’t only react to a music piece, but also analyze it so we can better understanding the piece and everything! Much appreciate! All the best!

I don't mind this new sound, it still has Architects' signature riff and fills. Their older materials got some clean vocals in it. I have a feeling the new album is going to be a mashup of their old + new styles, without the bleghs in it as Dan mentioned on his IG. But who knows, it's probably the only experimental track out of 15 songs in their new album. There must be something for everyone.
@JoseMoreno-km5hr4 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you on this man!! They always do well with mixing the screams and the cleans throughout their albums. Sam also has a wonderful singing voice so I don't blame him for using his voice well in both screaming and the cleans. He's definitely one of my favorite vocalists. I'm super ready for their new album and will always support this band. I've been listening to them since their first EP when I was still in middle school and I'm 29 now so they've been a band for a while now and I'm glad they're getting the recognition they deserve 🙂🖤🤘
@monstercookies27264 жыл бұрын
@@JoseMoreno-km5hr Right on, my dude! I've seen lots of fans in any genre like to tie up their favorite bands' work to their previous materials and reluctant to accept changes. Architects have long been known to influence the metalcore scene, their stuff been ripped off and their riff is everywhere (especially Doomsday), that even Dan himself admitted the blegh stuff 'had become a parody and lost all the sincerity'. I'm happy they're taking this new direction. Can't wait for more!
@ultimatedodger42474 жыл бұрын
Very sound, dude. We've anticipated the changes since Dan announced there will be no more bleghs (RIP). I'd be surprised if this is the only track to sound in this vein out of the 15 tracks in their new album.

Hey Chase, another great video! Been going back and revisiting a few of your videos as I rediscover songs, never gets old watching your reactions even if I’ve seen them a few times. Admittedly not been a huge Architects fan in the past but enjoyed this one. The guitarist that replaced Tom, Josh Middleton, has his own band in Sylosis that is excellent and much different from Architects (more thrashy), and he also does vocals. I have my own favorites by them, but I’d probably start with a song from their new album “I, Sever” and work backwards from there. Cheers!

Hey Chase Im happy you got back to reacting to Architects, they were my number one band for ages and still are nowadays to be honest. But now to the Song itself. My first listen to this song was a bit weird to be honest, because it is just so completely different to what Architects normally does. The riffs and playstyle are so different, its much slower and the riffs are easier as you would normally expect by them. And the most interesting thing about the whole song is, that there is no screaming, just some raspy singing, but not this fucking amazing Scream, Sam normally produces. But still I love this song and since its out I listen to it everyday and i am very excited for all the other stuff that hopefully comes soon. Now for other reactions I really would recommend "Memento Mori", in my opinion this is a masterpiece by them. Aaaaaand if you want to jump on another Hypetrain, check out "Sleeps Society" by While She Sleeps. Its a new Song which they released like a week ago or so.
